i bought a bucket, but corals there are way over priced. i do like paul though, he's allways been cool to me.

does anyone out there have any halimeda algae in there tanks. it grows like a weed in mine and i'm not sure if i like it or not. everything i read about it says it's a good thing, but it's starting to become a pain.

thanks for all the info guys, i think i might try moving it lower because it seems to be bleaching out. although andys description of "rounded branches" equaling "deep water" and not collection depth seems accurate. as far as pictures go, my photography skills are about as good as the quality of my camera, which is crap. but i'll try tomorrow.

as an sps noob, i have what may be a dumb question. do "deep water" acropora need less light than other acropora? if so, should it be placed lower on the reef?(scratch)

i run a mag 9.5 with 2 1" overflows and a 3/4" return. i have a ball valve on the return that i use to adjust the flow. its been working great for the past 3 years.

hey frank, i think peppermint shrimp will eat aiptaisia. at least according to bluezooaquatics.com they do. you might want to try them first.

hey mike, i always figured the fish died and then my coral banded shrimp ate it. i never thought that the shrimp could have been the cause of death. hhmmm. let us know if the trap works, i might have to try it. can i put the shrimp in my fuge, or will it eat all my pods?

thanks garrett for the info, i'd like some crazy flow for my sps corals, but i dont think i want to look at 4 of these pumps. i hope 2 + my mag 9 from my return will be sufficient. if i win the lottery this weekend (like i plan to), i'll be in touch.

would 2 of the 1400 on a jbj wavemaker be enough flow for my 90 gal? they're a heck of a lot cheaper than the mp40 i've been dreaming about.
