How the heck do you store corals when you are traveling do you bring a cooler or just have them ship them later? I completely agree with supporting the local fish stores and many of them can attest that I have spent hundreds of dollars! The economy is bad and competition is high particularly in Portland so I definitely do my fair share. I also try to buy from forum members for frags and things like that because I figure most of them will just turn around and spend that money at the fish stores as well! I know that's what I have done whenever I have sold anything. I don't appreciate that this thread was taken over. (flame)I really don't want to go into my reasons for preferring to try to do a group buy through Bulk Reef Supply. I don't feel I should have to justify my reasons and I did think one of the points for being a member of this forum was to form a collaborative spirit. I'm a pretty easygoing person but also very direct and honest so feel free to pm me if you want to know my reasoning. I don't think this thread is the place.

You're welcome! I had my eye on the cute little guy but FOWLR tank still cycling and certain people I live with don't like eels and think they look like snakes.(whistle)

Emerald wants the maroon pair of clownfish (that she may or may not get depending on if the entire thing is sold) for her now cycling FOWLR tank! If they are hosting the anemone, I will take that too unless someone already asked for that. A clown and his anemone should not be parted!

LOL I will try to go on with the intent of this thread. There were not any madams in any Seuss books that I read. Reefing's a hobby that can make you go broke. A 300 dollar "nacho chip" almost seems like a joke. And oh the equipment it seems the stores go too far! For the price of it all, I could have had a nice car!

Dose calcium dose magnesium, remove phosphate, dose strontium test ph test calcium test mg add kalk. It's enough to make one feel like a mad scientist.(nutty)

I doubt the Purigen is doing anything for the phosphates because our phosphates are now zero since we started using the phosban reactor. I'm interested in using the Purigen. Our Nitrites are 0 and are nitrates were at 15. Did you notice a big difference with nitrates being down? Is there a downside to using purigen? Anyone have a little bit to try.

We name most of our fish too but they still don't come when we call them!

I had the same problem with the black margarita (sp?) snails I got (little black snails). It seemed like they would flip over and the hermit crabs would get them. They also just seemed more sensitive. It may be the type of snail. I had better luck with the trochus (sp?) which can turn themselves upright. The nerites and nassarius also have done really well.
