  1. Do we have a reporting thread somewhere or are people posting here. I have a 4x2x2 120g tank with dual 250 artemis bulbs that were about 3 months old and the lumatek elite hoods. So I was very surprised with the results I had gotten from using the meter. I have attached a picture and the numbers that I received. What was surprising was how directional the hoods that I was using were. I had heard from sunlight that they were very focused but thought that there would be more spread on them. I had very little light in the middle and now need to rearrange. I also let a buddy run a test. He had a new bulb and a 6 month old bulb and it lost about 20% in that amount of time.
  2. Trying to post a pic with my ipad. I actually had 5 plus 2 nubs
  3. I'll get a picture later tonight. I'm still at 5 with no extra nubs
  4. bump Bump. Still trying to get rid of these. New price
  5. Bump with new prices for the whole setup with bulbs
  6. I have a 660 sounds like bad bulb or connection
  7. I had 2 blow away as well. They were there one day and then they were not. I had re-glued my stuff earlier because it was starting to come off as well. In the lowest flow section of my tank on the sand bed blocked by a rock.
  8. I think I may have OD'd on this slightly, I would recommend the every other day thing as some have mentioned. I noticed my chalices were starting to blacken so I slowed down on the usage and things came back.
  9. $125 for the whole setup with bulbs. The bulbs alone are worth 100
  10. I just stared doing this after winning a start at the meeting. I have only been going about a week but I did find some great resources on the web. Chuck I'd like to know what you got as food because I got a couple small bottles from reef nutrition that should last a little while. http://www.reef-geeks.com/forums/aquaculture-breeding-geeks/219-how-grow-rotifers.html https://rotifer.pbworks.com/w/page/12136719/Culturing-Rotifers-At-Home http://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/Raising-Live-Rotifers-Copepods-c199.html

  12. I just got a coral from california 2 days ago. He used both the thinner styrofoam and put in no heat pack and everything came in fine. Water was a little cold when it showed up but everything was fine. Better than too much heat
  13. How many hours are your heat packs going to last? I would say just one heat pack. I actually just lost 2 coral from it getting too hot. I used a 20+ hour heat pack in a 6x6x6 box. I insulatated it with 3/4" stryo I bought at home depot. What I shouldn't have done is taped the seams of my insulated cooler but I did put a hole on the top of the box where the heat pack was located. Three of my shipments did make it that day. Overall I wish I hadn't taped the seams and think I would have had better success. I was going to try the thinner stryofoam as well. Make sure to tape it to the top and put a bunch of new paper between it and the corals. As far as heat packs go the wet spot sells the 20 hour ones . They ship alot at the cyclid exchange and recommend only using the 20 and 40 hour for some reason. Not sure if others have heard the same thing or not.
