  1. EME I wasn't trying to not support local but this piece was a killer deal and was very spread out which will make fragging individual eyes very easy. I've always said I wanted a frag of Isaacs because it is awesome looking. The main reason I even wanted to put this together.
  2. I didn't know that. I saw somewhere else that someone said they had purchased this coral from tyree. I thought you had got yours from him. Maybe he just didn't stamp his name on it but grows it. But you would know better than me who the originator of this coral is. Here is where the piece we are getting is coming from (Lineage is Aaron Griswald from RC who bought it from YR) Sorry for the confusion but it is a legitimate EME and BGM
  3. Here are the pictures of the EME we would be getting. Bottom Right corner Top Right Corner
  4. Sorry missed you earlier Robert. So slight change of plan. He had 2 colonies originally posted, and was confused which one I was referring to. The one I had pictured sold already. The one he still has, has 12 eyes and is $200. It will be the same price as I had listed but now fewer spots available. Here is a picture from his original post of the colony we will be getting. It was back in end of November when it had 9 eyes but now it is fully healed and has 12. He is taking a picture for me tomorrow and i'll update what it looks like currently. So only 3 more spots available.
  5. CrazyInside that is correct. Any extra money above the 250 after the eyes are all distributed will be donated to tank for teachers.
  6. Both are tyree corals which is why this is a crazy deal with lineage. For clarification the other reason I did $15/20 was trying to get less people to deal with. I will feel responsible when fragging this thing and I would rather be dealing with fewer people therefore less risk. As far as how it compares to the TECO mummy eye I didn't know there was a TECO mummy eye. It is competely different than the BGM or OME and everything I have. It usually has a dark green and orange to pinkish eyes. I will have a better picture of the exact colony later this evening.
  7. Miles that is incorrect if you do the math $15 x 16 eyes equals $240 which is less than the $250 it is costing. The reason I stated $20 for 1 eye is to make up that difference and hopefully encourage people to get 2 eyes. Anyone that paid $20 for one eye would be sure to get a larger eye as well.
  8. Also anyone in the Mummy Eye Group Buy can buy a frag of his BGM pictured in the 1st pic for $15 an eye. Hozer got you down
  9. I guess I thought it was too much flow for the 60g but not a 120. The sea swirls just spread around the flow from my mag12 which isn't much. No complaints though I would highly recommend the vortechs I've seen the results from them. I've cranked them to see what they are capable of and then my corals all start falling down.
  10. Thanks all for the comments. I'm surprised people think that the two vortechs on that size tank is crazy flow granted I only use them somewhere near the middle of there full power. I bought the 40's and ran them on my 60 gallon for like 6 months knowing I would upgrade tanks in the future.

  12. Might have someone coming to get it tomorrow. How much did you need because there was a decent amount and he might need it all. If not I got it from Rose City. Nick will hook you up with a good deal if there isn't enough for you.
  13. Here's a picture of mine. These things look like some of the hornets just don't have the alternating skirts. Very nice Zoa
  14. I had a little bit of issues with fish because I had a powder blue in the reef that got ich and took out a couple fish. I got a UV light for the tank now. I am only going to have a couple smaller fish in there any way and will save the bigger fish including tangs for the FOWLR. The red thing is a Acanthophyllia deshayesiana and it is my favorite thing in the tank. Part of the reason I needed a bigger tank b/c my 60 gallon was only 15 inches front to back and that thing was smooshed.

  16. Cos builds a very nice stand and that tank was sweet. Check out my build thread if you want to see the stand I got from Cos
  17. Well sorry I skipped all the progress shots and will fast forward to the finished product. Most of the work I needed to do was on the stand which needed to have holes drilled in it, fans put in the canopy, reflectors hung, T5 lights installed (hardest part), lined with mylar, hinges and handles put on, wiring my controller in, building a top for the tank, and making it look nice all the while. So even though it didn't seem like it was going to take much work it took me a while to get it where I wanted. Here is the final product: About the tank Stand: was built by Coz(OIAB) and is made from eurobeach wood and stained dark Tank: 120 gallon acrylic tank 4x2x2 with built in overflow at the center Flow: (2) Vortech MP40s and (2) 3/4 sea swirls Sump: MegaFlow 4 made by AllGlass Protein Skimmer: BubbleMagus NAC7 Pump: Mag12 and maxijet 1200(refugium) Lighting: PFO Dual 250W MH ballast and IceCap660 Bulbs: Artemis 20k MH and (4) 24" Geisman Actinics
  18. If anyone has questions about how to build there own feel free to ask as well. Building around my sea swirls was the toughest part
  19. Here are some pictures of the top I built. It fits perfectly inside the rim. I got a couple methods if a bulk head needs to go in as well. Good for peace of mind that nothing will jump out.
  20. Correct right by hawthorne and 37th Its probably 6x4 but about 2 feet of it is a little torn up from the dogs. So i'll say there is probably a good 4x4 piece
  21. Have some leftover mylar material after my build that I wanted to give away. I am leaving town on Friday and would like it gone before then though. I think the piece is about 4x3 foot Mike
