ZOAs Yeah I should have been more clear about that. Ok first pic is purple deaths, the second pic is belagios these came with my tank and she said she ordered them from online. I'm including a close up pic of them here b/c I really like those. 3rd pic is the BamBams, 4th pic of camythoas which are more emerald green and also guava green palys which are the whiter ones, and last pic is the green crossettes, didn't think that the pics of purple death came out very well or the green crossettes which glow in my tank. I also have a couple other ZOAs like some armor of gods that could be fragged but would only be able to get like 1 or 2 polyps off so i'm kinda wanting to wait til they grow out, unless of course you got something i really want.

tank Did you end up keeping that leather coral I gave you? I'd look to the forum to get some corals, thats what I did and was able to fill my tank pretty good. It was definatly cheaper than going to the store. I have some stuff if you are interested. Mike

ORP When is this needed. What is it? Is it only if you are going to run a ozone reactor.

Out of town Thanks for the input. What type of auto top off are people using. I had originally planned to install one but heard a couple horror stories of turning saltwater to freshwater tanks. I was thinking about using a float switch on my controller to power an aqualifter pump hooked up to like a 5 gallon jug. I usually go through about 1 gal/day. As for the autofeeder do they have some sort of timer so i can set my pumps to be off? Does anyone have one I can borrow? Last question i've been waiting to hook up my calcium reactor until I had gotten the controller. The controller will come one day before I leave. Is it smart to hook up the calcium reactor before I leave or should I wait so I can dial it in.

Whose got some ZOAs to trade. I have some purple death, bambams, camythoas, bellagios, green crossettes, guava green palys. One ZOA I really want is Rastas if anyone has those.

digital aquatics Don't get me wrong the Apex is sweet. It just was way more to get into than the reefkeeper lite. Plus it was all about the upgrades. Aquacontroller jr can't do net. Whereas the reefkeeper lite can as of January 2010.

ZOAs Depends how they are on there. I have some that I got off using a razor blade and others that I've cut the rock.

controllers I had been doing some research and for some reason I really wanted the apex but ultimately went with Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper Lite. The reason I chose this one was it was much cheaper to get into with more features and allows many upgrades to the system as you can afford/want. There was even a upgrade option to take it from the lite version controller to the elite. The base unit costs 100. So I got mine for 240 and it was for the controller, a ph/salinity module, auto topoff, ph probe, temp probe, and 4 outlets.

I posted this in general discussion but maybe here was a better spot. I'm leaving town for 4 days and was curious if it was too long to leave the fish without feeding them. I will have a controller watching over the tank for me. Mike

Whats the longest fish and a tank can be left with out feeding. I just ordered a reefkeeper to monitor the tank but i'm heading out of town for about 5 days and didn't know if that is too long to go without feeding. Thanks

me too Man I feel bad for you. Seems like everyones corals didn't make it but that was when it was really cold here. I'm hope you had some insurance to cover all that. Thanks for driving up to meet us. The montis are looking good.
