Thanks Shane-I'm curious to see if anything gets erased. At the DA forum site I read that the memory wont get erased in the event of a power loss, it had to be because the head unit got disconnected??? Better have been that-I'm sort of having buyers remorse with this unit-wishing I bucked up for the additional monies and went APEX-DOH!

I'll butt in uninvited w/ my opinion, from 1st hand experiance with both pumps-LOL I presently have the 6000 also, which is rated what 1500ish GPH at zero head loss, the Mag 12 is 1200? The 6000 drops like a brick after 3 feet compared to the mag 12- IMO-keep the 6000 and add a gate valve vs a ball valve

If your water is testing fine other than a High SG, depending on how that was-the questions I would ask would be; How long had the fish been at the LFS? If the fish were a "new" addition" I would not need to do anymore research-Once these fish are harvested-the next 2-4 days are brutal-and the true mortality rate I would only believe if it came from my closest friend AND they were involved, i.e. trans shipper, receiver-something. There are a couple stores I have bought from and I can tell you the "stats" on death from those stores is 2:1 or higher over other stores I have got from. My guess is you did nothing wrong the fish died from stress and those spots you saw/see are proof. I would rather pay a LFS for a fish-have them hold it for at least a week, see it eat, and act normal" before bringing it home-if they are not willing-take your business somewhere elsewhere. Fortunately SWF has like a 72 hr guarantee or something on the fish living-not sure exactly but I saw he offers it-Good for him, that's a great safety net to have! I dont see the blame or cause being on you/your tank- Like Nick said, could have been "infected" before you got them, another reason to have the store hold them-you win they win

Yes I have signed up there-it was more a "what do you have yours set at" type of Q. I will say I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I disconnected the head unit to move it outside the cabinet-and all the set points I had got erased. Is that what I can expect in a power outage-to lose all my saved set points-timers etc? Any info on that? Thanks Shane

I had this originally posted in the wrong category; Anyone using the Reef Keeper to control their Ca Reactors? Curious what levels you have your high set for, and what your Hysteresis is. If you use Reef Keepers that will mean something-(laugh) I have mine set at 6.65 w/ the Hys. at .05 so it is coming on at 6.70 and off at 6.6- I thought I read it would come on at the high point (if tyou chose high vs low) and of at .05 below the high-not at .06 above the high for on. 20 hours later all seem well- I 'll run H2O tests later to see what has changed in a day. Just curious if anyone using this brand- I think Markdadof2 does and Mytshall does I know. Thanks
