Ok so I need to get replacement bulbs for a 250 watt double ended hqi. I would like to go around 14 to 15k for this. Reason being I want better growth rate and color to pop a little more in my tank. I have been reading on all the different pars on different bulbs. I think I have narrowed it down to Phoenix or Giesemann. I would like opinions on what people think of both types, or if you think a different bulb could do a better job for what I want. One of the big draws for the Phoenix bulb is looking at the studies they don't need to be replaced as often. My lighting is on yo-yo's so I can move the light closer to the water accordingly. I'm learning a lot from this thread as well, but I am a beginner (at best) with cameras. This might sound like a really stupid question, but what does DSLR stand for? I'm also in the market to buy a new camera for the same reason as bitricker! Took our point and shoot to the beach and got sand in it! Now I want to upgrade and get something that I can use to take good pictures of my tank and family with. Thanks everyone!

Sorry to hear about this, but glad your ok. Sucks that we just talked about this and then it happens! What I would do is wait to settle with your insurance. It's actually worse that it's through the same insurer. They won't think they have to pay as much as they should for it! If you want I have a friend up in Oregon city that is a lawyer that could help you out. I was talking to my lawyer and he was saying that he usually can get about $25,000 for just a fender bender if you do it the right way. Just a thought. Wait to make sure you don't have any medical issues before you settle and GO TO THE DOCTOR just to make sure! the crazy thing is even when you think your fine sometime it takes months for things to develop. It took an army of doctors to find out that my spine was leaking fluid 8 months! It was all caused by my accident and now I have a lot more in medical bills with as many surgeries that I need/have had!

I got a panasonic 52" and I love it! I went out with my "tekkie" friend and we spent all day looking at different tv's. Even went up to portland looking around, and I found Video Only had the tv I want at Best Buy for $250 cheaper! Plus they delivered to my house for free! If anyone ends up with it (a panasonic) I got it dialed in by professionals, just pm me and I'll give you the numbers! Don't want anyone else wanted to pay a couple hundred bucks to have someone make your tv picture look right! I think that samsung is overrated for what you pay for same with sony, only thing I think samsung has is a truer black. That in turn has it's downfalls though. It makes your picture look darker overall, but if you lighten it then the colors are off! Otherwise I agree with Miles!

After people get through with picking through everything I might pick up that table acro! Still kicking myself for not getting it so I think I just might have to!(nutty) I will let others see if they want it first, but if they don't it's mine!

I have some of his coral here in my tank trying to nurse it back to health....we'll see how I do!

Thanks Eric! I think he still has a rainbow. We put some of his frags at his old house in his frag tank so some stuff was saved. He did loose a lot thought. Most of his monti's, chalises, and sps are gone.
