Belize would be another great place to team up with. They have the biggest living reef (next to the Au) and speak English, well Creole.

Most of you don't know me, but for those of you who do I just wanted to let everyone know why I've been gone of so long. I got into a car accident in Oct of 08 and was diagnosed with soft tissue damage and two torn rotator cuffs. After surgery one one arm it turned out to be unsuccessful. Nine months later I was finally diagnosed with leaking spinal fluid and bulging discs in my neck. That lead to a lot of very hardcore medications. After being on them for awhile I was very depressed and not in a good state of mind, then the seizures hit. So in a nut shell I was absent from the forum for awhile. In the time I was trying to be active on here I was a flake and tried to take on more than I could handle. DOH! I just wanted to let the people that I let down on here know that I am very sorry for being such a flake and that now I am back and in a much better state of mind. Still working on the medical issues but those are slowly getting worked out. I just felt like I needed to make a formal apology to the many people I let down. Also to thank the people that have welcomed me back with no hesitation and not a bad word to say to me. This is one of the best groups of people that I have ever had the pleasure to talk and trade/buy from. Thanks to all for putting up with me and giving me a second chance. Now I will not take up any more time with my ramblings and sign off. Thanks to everyone Ruthie(peace)

I'll be third in line if everyone else back out. Would love this set up for my wifes office at U of O. She has always wanted one for her office. Plus everyone in her office would love to have it. They always ask questions about our salt setup at home and want one in the office. It would be a community tank for them.

Any interest in tattoos? We need some tile work done at my house in Eugene, and have a tattoo shop that could trade some work for it.

I know, I really was thinking about finding a 9 line wrasse to get rid of some of the brissle worms in my tank. I'm going back and forth on it. I guess I'm going to have to give in and get one.

Nope, no wrasse actually I refuse to put a wrasse in my tank. Right now all I have is 5 fire fish, a mandrin, yellow watchman goby, maroon clown, and a coral beauty. Just the regular snails and and crabs, and one coral banded shrimp.

Ok so with all the different opinions going on I will tell everyone where I'm at. I do test before I dose and don't if all levels are good. I don't run any reactors of anything like that. I have a mixed reef with sps and lps and a softy or two. I use Instant Ocean salt and do 10-15% water change every week. I do miss a water change from time to time, but I make up for it on the next water change. I don't have a RO unit so I use a friends, and I run a uv on the tank. I test once a week to make sure everything is up to par. Other than that I did start to use KalK about a month ago. I think that's all everything is pretty standard. Skimmer and sump blah blah. I'm going to slowly start eliminating all suggestions one by one and let everyone know what happens. Any other suggestion are welcome to speak up. This has been a good thread and I I love to hear everyones take on it all.

That might be it. I changed to a new supplement and that could have effected them.DOH!

I added a birds nest about 4 days ago, other than that everything I have in my tank has been there for awhile. I didn't do a dip on it because of where I got it.

All tests on water are good, and I do a 10-15% water change once a week. I will have to get a camera from clay to post soon.

If you don't mind me posting this here. A friend of mine was contacted by people involved in the reef aid. In 6 months a group of friends and I will be diving to clean the oil off the reefs and collect any that look like they might be salvageable. Anyone who dives is welcome to join if they want. Everyone will be outfitted in gear and masks that will will be able to withstand the oil. It is a volunteer operation, but you will be flown out and put up in a hotel and given a daily expense for food. If anyone is really interested I will post in a thread that will have all the details. Sorry to high jack this thread, but I figured anyone that was interested in this might be interested in some reef aid.

No spots, and I put them next to another frag of zoa's that are doing great. I have no idea whats going on with them. I've dipped them and moved them to another tank to see if that they liked that better. Put them in different spots in the tank. What other diseases/symptoms should I be looking for? I was just about to frag them and sell some off, but now I would want anyone to get bad zoas.

Ok, I have a lot of different zoa's in my tank. Right now I have a colony of about 30 Magicians that have refused to open for about 2 weeks now. Every once in awhile a couple will open for a day, but close back up when the light go off. Then nothing opens for a couple days. I know they are still alive, I just have no idea why they won't open. Everything else in the tank is great (other than the fact that I can keep everything except monties). All the other zoas in my tank are thriving and getting new polyps every couple days. Any ideas?(scratch)

Just caught my mandarin's mating, and was wondering if anyone knew anything about how to raise them?

Yep teddy bear crab. I just found on in my tank by the way of a painful pinch! Going to the LFS tomorrow.

Moving some rock around today so I'll pm you of I have some pieces left over.
