You can come get a cup of live sand from me! I'm setting up a sump tomorrow and will most likely have a cup left over. As for the live rock I think I could give up a piece or two. You have anything to trade?

Any salt out there that would keep the levels up at a decent level without breaking my bank account?

I was thinking that I should keep it between 1250-1300 ppm is that to low?

I know your not supposed to add over 15-20 ppm a day. I just went and bought B-ionc to bring my levels back up. Never used Epson before. Whats the break down when you dilute it? I know that it's 1.5 ml per gallon with B-ionc so in a 100 gallon tank I use a lot to bring the levels back up!

I just did a water change two days before I tested.

So I was talking with Impur the other day and it got me curious about the magnesium levels in my tank. I have never tested for it before, but I noticed that some of my acans weren't happy. So I went out and bought a test kit and low and behold my levels were really low! I was wondering what keeps levels up in tanks naturally, or is this something that you would have to dose?(scratch)

Mine was fine around frogspawn. Granted it is a colony of about 25-30 big heads, but they we kinda at a standstill. I also have a long tentacle that battles with my devils hand and they are both okay.

I just had service go out due to faulty equipment and comcast gave me a free month of service for it. I was without for 4 days.

I like the look of it a lot better without the posts. I think Northwest Coral Farms had a good idea with the bamboo though. lol How dark are you going to stain the skin? I think that you'll be alright without the other holes being that it's only a 30 gallon. I also like the idea of a lip in case any leaks happen. I was just in bed thinking about the stand I want to build for a 55 gallon frag tank I want to put up. So all the build threads help a lot! Note to self don't use posts! lol

I just wanted to let everyone know that I got some new frags from Miles last night. When I got them home and got them in the tank I was excited to see the size of the frags I got plus a free frag! I ended up with 5 new types of monti in my tank and love every one! Plus it's always fun to go to his house a stare at his tank! He has one of the most impressive collections of acans I have seen in a long time plus everything is thriving in his tanks. Again thanks impur for helping me bring my tank back up to the level it once was.(clap)(clap)

I ordered 2 Phoenix 14k and 2 Plusrite 14k. We'll see how it goes!

I had a huge outbreak of that awhile back and I just did bigger water changes and bought the tang that ate the most algae at my LFS. That and increased my water flow.

The other thing you could do is take a sample to your local shop and ask them to put in the algae in with the tangs and other stuff that might eat the algae. Then buy which ever one eats it. You might want to check your water and see if anything is out of wack. Also how much do you feed?
