  1. well the odds of finding three from one seller is rare. If you want all used ones Buy my one and then find someone selling a pair. (much more likely to find that)
  2. Check out this white tang http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1999982
  3. A while back I ran pheonix 14k with blue actinics, and I would compare it to a radium on electronic ballast. I also ran my 14k's on an electronic ballast and felt they were white with a tint of blue.
  4. Bump. I added two more bulbs and 7 reflectors. All for the same $45
  5. only one and you know you want it. These reflectors are great. I lit a 30'' cube with just one of these.
  6. I have a lumenbright mini with mogal socket. Used but in good condition. $40
  7. With a tank that size I would seriously check out LED. You could even use a PAR38 or two and probably have enough light.
  8. What noobsalt said. Basically the same as far as I know. I am using a galaxy and seem to like it.
  9. I would look into a nice 150 or 250w halide pendant. Those little halogens wont put out a whole lot of light and you will be very limited on bulb selection. If you have the money, check into a small LED pendant.
  10. Its not a transformer issue, usually a heat issue. I have seen similar bulbs actually melt the socket and wires that plug into the back of the bulb. These things run hot and are usually packed into a small fixture.
  11. Noob is right. Those MR style bulbs burn out all the time. I cant tell you how many service calls I have went to just to replace those in retail stores. They are popular with clothing stores for some reason. As for your question, what were those sockets used for previously? They look like they plug into a track light? Those bulbs will be low voltage so you need to make sure that those sockets either have ballasts or the Track has a ballast to run them.
  12. Looks like I found what I'm looking for. Thnx
  13. Not looking for lumenmax. I am much more a fan of lumenbright.
  14. I know. I am just going to have to buy new ones soon. Seems everyone that has them, does not want to sell them.
  15. I have done this twice. Quite effective and just a little bit fun. Especially if the fish has been a pain in the butt for some time.
  16. Look forward to more pics. You could have went with 1/2'' and saved a lot of money on that tank. Unless he had the scrap laying around.
  17. Yes they have locking tombstones.
  18. Well that uses the term in a little different manor than I am used to. Yes they are currently shunted, but you could easily change that with some new wire. There is just a jumper wire between them like all tombstones I have ever seen.
  19. They are the water resistant ones and have mounts if that is what you were asking.
  20. shunted? Being an electrician, I dont think that is the term you were looking for unless I have something new to learn.
