  1. Nice tank! Those dimensions are great, I have 60x30 and could not be happier.
  2. Is there a size limit for red rock like there is dungeness?
  3. My wife and I might be going but it will probably be a last minute thing if we do.
  4. Sounds like good times and one weird cop. I could just see an old drunk hillbilly cop doing just that.
  5. Ya he did cut it for me out of his tank. Travis will usually do this on some pieces but it costs more than out of the frag tank. More than likely it's the same coral. I like the New life spectrum pellets, and most of the shops around here carry it. If you make a mix food it's really up to you and what your inhabitants need. There are threads on here discussing it.
  6. I think the frag has actually colored up more in the past week from when I got it. Did your frag come out of their show tank? I feed my fish a little of everything. I have a home made frozen mix that I feed once or twice a week. Then I normally feed New Life Spectrum pellets and occasionally Formula 2 flakes.
  7. Naso tang from West Side Aquarium. I've had it about a week now and it's eating great. It's had ich off and on the past week but the fish is healthy enough, I don't think there is anything to worry about.
  8. I don't need it anymore. Take me off the list
  9. Yellow eye Kole tang from Ed's Reef. Very healthy fish and it eats like a pig. I've had it for almost a week now. Thanks Ed
  10. I don't have a wish list, but I plan to keep about every kind of stag I can get, several milli's, a few types of Birdsnest, maybe a few monti cap and digi. Really just a variety of everything I see and like.
  11. First sps in the tank today blue tipped Tenuis from Upscales
  12. Somebody Pm'ed me about it this morning. If they don't come get it I will let you know Dave.
  13. still for sale. I will be ready to add coral to my tank soon, so I could trade it for sps.
  14. I'm diggin up an old thread! Did anyone fallow through on any of the methods discussed?
  15. Thanks J-Dog. I am really liking the size of the tank so far. It's just big enough to provide space for fish and coral but not so big that it's a chore to maintain. Hopefully I will be adding coral in a few weeks. I want to make sure that everything is running right and that parameters are on first.
  16. Found some pics on my wife's memory card while looking at a wedding and engagement shoot she did recently for a client. Some of the clean up crew after a visit to The Premium Aquarium. Thanks Garrett! I got two of these Bartlett Anthias from Ed's Reef
  17. I just like to brag to the guys at work that my tank used 3 20A circuits. They all think I'm crazy.
  18. Yep, lights are hooked up. I need to come over and take a look at your 20k reeflux. I have radiums now but I think I want something else more 14k with a little blue.
  19. Here's some pics of the mechanics behind it all. All the equipment is located behind the tank in the laundry/tank room. Lucky for me it's a larger than normal laundry room and my wife doesn't mind. Its almost done, I still have a bit of electrical to do and a few odds and ends. since I am an electrician, and I had all the stuff to do it I ran 3 Dedicated 20A circuits (nutty) It's a bit overkill since all of the equipment could run on one circuit, but what the heck. 2 sunlight supply galaxy 400w select-a-watt ballasts 2 BRS dosers for CA and ALK The Reef keeper lite will control the dosing, lights, monitor heat, PH, and also shut down the MH's if things get to hot Beside the sump in the corner is the Dart return pump, and the two 4 gallon containers used for holding two part solution. You can also see where I ran the skimmer air intake lines outside to reduce noise and balance PH. I used a dryer vent to cover the penetration on the side of the house and make it look cleaner. Fresh water storage is supplied by the BRS RO/DI mounted on the other side of the room by the washer and dryer. A float valve inside helps reduce the risk of overflows. Coming out of the container is a line for the ATO controlled by an autotopoff. com dual switch. Another line T's off from that with ball valves to allow me to fill up my make up water container and my wife's fresh water tank. Skimmer is a beast! It's been running for about a week now and considering the very small bioload on the tank, has almost filled the large collection cup.
  20. what bulbs are you using? I am still not sure if I want to run my similar set up at 250 or 400w. I need to get the par meter and some 250w bulbs to measure.
  21. Love that acro in pic 4. Also your green cap looks like its growing in a cool way. Did you force it to do that somehow or is that how It chose to grow?
  22. I'm thinking september. I better call James and get him building the new one now. (wife)
