Sounds good. BTW, Dennis if figured out my refractometer. I had it off by a bit. Using poor lighting. Pretty sure I got it dialed in now. Nitrates less then 5ppm. Just got done cleaning all my korilias, waters almost ready. Water cahnge time.

Light bulbs are less then 3 months. Ro-DI comes from fantaseas, and I have not tested it. P04 I have not tested, but obviously if I have algae I have elavated levels. Nitrates I will have to go check. Have not checked in a while. Dennis, thanks for Spike. Once in the tank he began munching. neat to watch.

Dennis, i will give you a call in a bit. Kids are being a pain right now. Im guessing it must be water quality or temp/ I dont think flow is a problem, 2 k'4's 2 korilia 3's and a 2 in there I think. Not to mention the overflows. Im mixing up a batch of water right now for a water change.

What are the best ways to beat Green hair algae? What inverts, fish, yada yada. I have been battling it for a while now and its starting to get fustrating. I picked up a lawn mower blenny a few weeks ago, now I have read from numerous folks that most LMB's wont even eat hair algae.DOH! Hes a great addition though. People have said "take your rock out and scrub it". Since there is about 180lbs of rock and most of which is glued or rodded together, that is not an option. I have been using a tooth brush to scrub what I can, but that doesnt do the best job. Crabs, snails, what are teh best for that. Im guessing Im lacking in that area. Probably about 15-20 different hermies. And maybe 20-30 different astreas and turbos. Had a bunch die off a couple months ago. My tank runs hot right now, about 80-81 most of the time. Got some fans just trying to figure out how to get them set up. Any ideas would be good.

Same problem. Not worth reinstalling FF. Used it for years, but prefer IE. Some one mentioned chrome before, I used it, it horked up everything and caused me hours of headache.

They did down on 5th I think. But for some reason it closed down.

Thanks, that worked great. Tried it with a scrap I had laying around, mounted the piece it came with and it worked like a charm. My ATO from aquahub.com is up and running like a charm.

Just got this one myself. Fairly easy to set up, it works, but I neglected to get the 18 inch piece of moldable plastic and now i cant make it work for my 55 gal sump. They want more for shipping than the part just for the piece of plastic. ANyone have any clue where to find some of that stuff locally?

That makes it all the weirder I guess, cause this rock is up high on one of my towers. not to mention I have a dragon goby in there also. He is rather big though.

So I wasnt sure if my new lawnmower blenny would get along with my midas blenny or not. Hoping they would just hang out in opposite areas of my tank. Turns out the Lawnmower is quite fond of the same exact area as the midas. Yet they seem to be quite content with each other. That is the midas's permanent home, while the other is all over the place, but always seems to cozy up next to the midas.(nutty)

So I have been pretty busy with work and other projects so I have not got a ton done with the canopy and the rest of the stand. Really have not updated in quite a bit. Got a few new toys. Koralia 4's Still playing around with flow. Had a nasty case of Cyno that has amazingling gone away since these have been put in. This has kept me sidetracked for a while. refinishing a old hot tub. Tub itself is in great shape, but the skirting was trashed and had to be reworked. Nothing to do with fish, but oh well. The rest are just my fish and stuff. Besides hopefully adding a pair of orange skunk clowns and a RBTA, I have offically just moved my last fish out of QT and into the tank. List of fish. I have about 60 lbs of aragonite left over from my set up. I got it from the seahorse. Let it go for about 40 bucks, which is about half of what I paid for it.

Good info, thank you Drunkreefer. Then maybe that and a combo of my CYNO issue i was having may have been the culprit.

Well thats just it, everything is good, but im having issues getting the heat down. Its maintaining about 80 throughout the day. Im working on the fans for the tank, just need to get the right ones. I just dont really get how it can be fine one day, and the next be dead and wasting away.

Got carbon in there, its a couple weeks old though. Skimmer has been running like a champ ASM G3.

For no apparent reason this thing just up and died on me. Only had it about a week or so. It appeared to be doing great, was opening up every day in the light. Worked all day yesterday so never got a look at the tank with the lights on. Came home today and noticed it all shrunk up and starting to decompose(flame). Needless to say I got it and as much of the bits and pieces as I could out and flushed him. Checked my nitrates and they were next to nothing. Ph was about 8.2 My guess is it my be a temp thing. Been fighting with that trying to get it cooled down. Been maintaining 80 during the day. Also just ordered a refractometer, since im really curious as to how far off my hydrometer was. Not sure, mostly frustrated(nutty) cause it was a really cool nem.

Argh, just ordered two knew 4's to swap out my 3's.

Woo hoo, figured it out. Got one to work on the first try. Now I just need to go pick up some 4 inch fans. Im assuming I can piggy back a couple together on one adapter? Ill post a picture soon as I figure out what the wife did with the camera.

I have considered this, actually have some 4 inch pc fans laying around. My question is how do you connect a 12v power adapter to a pc fan. Or are you actually talking about a pc power supply?
