  1. So this is the plumbing before I glue it. Looking to see if anyone thinks this wont work for some reason.
  2. Patrick at Fantaseas had about 5 of them yesterday. Medium to large.
  3. Yeah Kinda odd how there is always a beer bottle near when Im messing with this [language filter] thing.
  4. Well i got the sump drilled today(thanks Patrick at SaltwaterFantaseas). Leaked tested everything. Now im ready for the plumbing and getting the sump in. hopefully get the plumbing done tommorow, or at least started.
  5. Got the sump mostly done today. At least the baffles and stuff in. Still got to get it drilled. See how good my glue job did tommorow when I leak test it.
  6. Have a stand for a 55gal tank. Nice, 2 doors, black. $50.00 Also willing to trade from some live rock, or maybe other things.
  7. Will do, just waiting for the muscle to show up.
  8. So I started tearing down my 55 tonight. What a chore. Got all my rock out, cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, craps and snails. And moved over to my 29 Stirred up quite a mess looking for my nass snails. One of my munchkins cheesing. All said and done, my 29 looks pretty good with the pcs on it. Hooked it up to my sump/refugium that was running my 55. And just a decent pic of the tank. Tommorow the 180 comes in the house. (rock2)(clap)
  9. Man I love the stand. Amazing woodwork.
  10. Well I was sure I had the same thing going on, but after seeing those pics im not to sure. One of my Nassarius for about 2 days cruised around the glass laying these. In a magnifiying glass they look like little tiny snails, but they dont seem to be moving. Probably at least 100 of them. To bad Im tearing that tank down soon. Curious if they are or not.
  11. Got a couple of my new toys today. asm 3 skimmer genx pump Hope to get the tank moved in this weekend.
  12. Cleaner shrimp and peppermint shrimp are fine together, or they are at least in my current tank. My Coral banded shrimp was a big bully. Went after everything that came near its cave. Finally got rid of him when he grabbed a coral beauty by the nose and started shaking it. Gobies I can just give you advice on the few that I have or have had. Yellow headed neon sleeper goby- not unless you have a very established tank. Had 2 starve, not enough research before I bought, bad me. Diamond goby- great sand sifter, committed suicide 2 days after. Love to jump. Dragon Goby- My personal favorite sand sifter. Not as flashy as some, but does a great job cleaning the sand and seem pretty hardy. Hope that gives you some help. Like I said, just personal experience.
  13. Sand sifting starfish are pretty cool. My kids love mine, but he hides in the sand alot.
  14. Looks great, better then my 55 ever has.
  15. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1592976 I just asked a similar question and got some good responses.
  16. Well if your interested let me know. Like I said, may be a few weeks.
  17. When are you looking to buy one? I have a remora Aquac hang on back type that when I get ready to take down my 55 I was gonna sell. Probably be a few weeks before I get it tore donw though. I have it hanging on my sump in my fish only tank.
  18. One will stay as a fish only and the other is gonna be a sump.
  19. Sheet rock. Gonna go floor to ceiling with it and doors for access. At least that is the plan thus far. I wanted to go wood, but I am no finish carpenter and the wife wanted it to look like part of the house. So I am basically going to build a wall around it.
  20. Ugh, dont get me started on cyno. Been battling it for a water. Flow will help. Its my understanding that finding the cause of the excess phospates is the biggest thing. I just used Red slime remover, and minus making my skimmer go whacky for a week after, it did a pretty good job and its reef safe.
  21. Well this week I was pretty swamped, so didnt get to much done. Got the stand into the house tonight. What fun, the wife and a dolly/handtruck helped out and its in place. I had some scrap flooring left over from when our house was built, so Im gonna put that in the bottom of the stand. Figured it would make nice for clean up. Also ordered up my skimmer and pump today. Yikes this is getting spendy. (wife) all over me. I havent even figured out my lighting yet.
  22. I did to, but it was one of the first fish we had and the wife didnt want to part with it. Seems prett content down there. You can take him in to most stores and they will give you a bit of credit. I know Cayes does for sure.
