I'm pretty sure your pH is fine were it is at. ph 7.95ish to 8.18ish

I prefer chaeto only in the fuge and 8 hours without light, a rest. But that shouldn't be the issue here.

I have had an urchin and an emerald crab that ate zoas.

My clowns are ripping apart their xenia. And they are always attacking the glass on the front and side. Are they getting ready to spawn or are they just crazy? Here is a pic and video.

You could put the rock into a bucket of saltwater and see if you can bait it out of the rock.

Peppermint shrimp worked for me. I only had a few aiptasia, I took out the big ones and the shrimp ate the small ones.
