  1. mine are opened and looking good. sorry bad cell phone pic. good camera is getting serviced.
  2. Just wanted to say thanks to those who have signed up. For those who haven't it takes less than a minute....and could get you a nice free frag! Or more.
  3. Sounds good. I dont think I will be banned here. I am a very helpful part of this reef community and I think admin will know that my intentions are good here. This site is a tool not to take away from this site. We all post links to other sites and articles all the time. If you want to really help, sign up for me! And I will send you a free frag if I win!
  4. So, Chewie, PM your email and help a brotha out!
  5. I am not doing that at all. Most of us are members on several different sites and it doesn't "take away". It adds to the reefing experience by joining more people together. I am in the hobby to help others and I am not trying to harm anyone. I am unemployed and have been for 5 months. I am going to try and devote some time to this and win this. I am trying to help others and they are helping me. Nothing wrong with that.
  6. I've already got like 20 emails! So if you aren't going to beat me then join me....and I will give you free frags. IMPORTANT: It doesn't give me a point for just sending an email. It only counts after you sign up and register for the site.
  7. Ok, so.... I am a member on http://reefnook.com/ and they are offering some great giveaways right now. They are offering a free reefkeeper lite. You get one entry every time you submit a picture and description of an animal in your aquarium. Fish, inverts, coral, ect. Each submission is an entry and you can win a reefkeeper lite. Here is what I am asking... Every time I refer someone and they sign up on the site...its free, I get an entry for a RK Elite controller. I just have to get your email address, and send a referral to you, and you sign up through the link in the email I send. Perks: They offer charting materials for all of your paramters and make it really easy to track the success of your tank. They offer a community similar to Reef Central or Reef2Reef. You can rate tanks and have your tank rated, and share with others. If I win the controller, I will be giving away free frags to everyone that signs up under me and gives me a referral point. They will not be cheapo frags, they will be something sweet! So PM me your email address and sign up to help me, and help you!!!
  8. I just got my frag and acclimated it. Hasn't opened up yet, but it looks good.
  9. Nice, there are a lot of sponsors. This is really getting to be a pretty big deal. What are the prizes this time around? THANKS SPONSORS!!!
  10. I say looking cool is more important than staying down....but then again my zoas never grow very fast, maybe its because they are floating around in the "lazy river" and "not real motivated to grow...lazy".
  11. I am selling this setup because I want to get a 20lb tank, and I have two regulators. It is a 5lb CO2 tank, and Milwaukee Reg/Solenoid/Bubble Counter. Tank is in great shape. Buyer pays shipping, but I think I can get it in a flat rate box, so it shouldn't be too expensive. $100 Willing to ship should be around $20 to ship.
  12. Count me in....hopefully nobody else checks the site for the next week. I want a 1 in 7 chance of winning.
  13. GO DUCKS, that game was amazing. I was worried they weren't going to overturn that fumble that was returned by USC for a TD, because he was obviously down, but for once the refs made a good call. That is the most points that has been scored on USC since Pete Carroll started. GO DUCKS!!!
  14. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Those are so nice. Thanks and I am looking forward to getting my frag. At least if it dies this time I have a tombstone to remember it by.
  15. I have not had luck with my blond naso tangs. I have owned 2 of them in the last 4 months, and both have eventually died. I have a bunch of other tangs but the naso seems to be the most apt to come down with an illness. Lost my most recent one a couple days ago. I hope your naso stays healthy. I may just have bad luck, my next one wont be a blond naso, they get expensive, so I will get a regular naso.
  16. Thanks guys. I will continue to update pics as things grow in. I will probably do new FTS before Christmas. We are going out of the country for 3 weeks over Christmas, and I will be doing a before and after over the 3 week break. As fast as things are growing, I'm sure the change will be dramatic.
  17. I know you definitely have something that I want. You always do. I could use some more of your sweet zoas, but right now that coral is a frag itself.

  21. I just wanted to update with some pics of a few of my corals. This is by no means all of them, but I didn't want to take up 20 pages of pics...lol. I will update more later. Full tank shots dont show any of these corals, because they are all frags and look tiny in a 200g reef! Undata Purple Polyp Monti Superman Setosa Sunset Purple Haze
  22. Ya I have heard this from others too. I know you do pay a lot, but you get a lot too. This is truly worth while.
  23. I just bought a used vortech, and had some issues with it, the wetside was vibrating pretty badly, and the wavedriver wouldn't turn on. Sent it in to vortech. They called me today and while on the phone with Steve he checked the driver. It wouldn't turn on, the electrical guy stuck his hand out, and noticed immediately that the power plug solder that connects it to the board was broken. As the electrical guy fixed the driver, Steve replaced the whole wet side with new parts. Including a new magnet, shaft, bushings, and housing. The only thing that is old on my wetside is the back plate. The electrical guy brought the board back in, they put it all together and he said it worked flawlessly. This was all while on the phone with Steve. Even better is that the pump was second party to me, and slightly out of warranty. He said he would stretch the date, and do it for free. I have never seen customer support like this before! He seached for my package, opened it, commented on my quality packing, and fixed the pump on the spot within 15 minutes! I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY WITH THEIR SUPPORT!!!
