  1. Here are a couple pics of some coral as well. The acan is definitely my favorite!
  2. new school: thanks. epicenter: thanks. i get lots of comments on the rock work. it took some time to get exactly how i wanted it, but now that its done, i think it adds to the "art" and really is the building blocks for something great. Jay: I moved to Utah so that my fiance, Cora, can go to grad school. She is at the University of Utah for physical therapy. We probably wont stay here, but probably wont be back to Oregon either. The next step will most likely be Sandpoint, Idaho; which is where we are from originally. MarkBirkett: Thanks. I actually got the tank from Jason before I moved and I brought it with me in the U-Haul.
  3. Sorry everyone for being gone so long and not updating. I took a trip to Egypt and am just getting back into the swing of things and decided to do an update on my tanks. Thankfully everything survived during my trip and I was very happy to see all of the growth after being gone. (You really notice it when you aren't looking at them every day) I am getting more and more frags and some things are growing in nicely. Some corals might have been placed too close together and are starting to kill each other off. Here are some FTS pics. I still cant get the color right, the blue seems to wash out all of the corals' color and I cant seem to fix it with my white balance.
  4. I think I am just going to drop out. My piece was upside down in an acan when I got back, and it is still alive, but not doing so hot. All of the new growth/babies are dead and so are all the buds. No chance I am going to win this one...
  5. I can work with you on the shipping. I can pay part of it, and do all of the packing. If you have interest I can look into it and see what kind of cost we are looking at.

  7. I have one that can handle 300+ gallons. Comes with a 20lb CO2, Regulator, Media, MAG3 Circulation pump, Controller, and Reactor. Turn key, just plug and play. I can send it to you with all of the hoses, but I will have to empty the CO2 for shipping, so you will need to refill that. It has a brand new hydro testing stamp.
  8. Here is a pic of the reactor. I cleaned it up and put new eggcrate and foam under the media before the circulation pump.
  9. Before shipping. I will work with you a bit on shipping and cover some of the costs. It also depends on what you are interested in. And of course the CO2 tank will have to ship empty.
  10. Calcium Reactor Dual Chamber built by Eric at Marine Aquatics. Large size, probably good for 300+ gallons. 2 available, 1 full of media, one not. Both have MAG3 pumps. Full of media $160, empty $150. CO2 Tank/Reg 20lb CO2 tank and Regulator. CO2 from BEVCO2 and has a brand new, like 2 month old, hydro testing. Clear full of CO2. Regulator is the standard dual guage model. One of the plastic guage lenses broke, so I am not charging much for this. I am selling the tank and regulator for $140, and BevCo2 is one of the cheapest places to refill in the valley. $15 for an exchange and they will give you the most recently hydro tested tank if you ask for it. http://www.dtpetsupplies.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=932 Controller Milwaukee Controller. SMS122. Set it and forget it, it does all the controlling. $60 http://www.water-testers.com/contents/en-us/d108_milwaukee-sms122-ph-controller.html If you buy the complete setup, Reactor, Tank, Reg, and Controller I will sell it for $340.
  11. I am looking for a Reefkeeper expansion socket. 2 plug 15A, for my 1000w heater. I also would like a NET module. Let me know what you have and how much you want for it. Willing to trade coral or pay cash.
  12. the contest is over. I am no longer signing people up or giving away free frags.
  13. I was planning on paying for the shippment as long as there is just one. It would be a nightmare to try and get everyone to may $3 for shipping. Just not worth it in the long run. Please be patient everyone. I am ordering the coral today and it should get here later this week. I will frag immediately and let the frags heal. It may take about a month before you actually get your corals. But Reefnook told me it may take more than a month for me to get my reefkeeper too...lol. I have plenty of coral now to cover it, and some nice pieces, but some of them bleached out and dont look too impressive right now. I promise you, everyone that signed up will get their piece.
  14. Yes, I did win. I just got back in town 2 days ago and was super excited that I won! Free frags for everyone that sent me their email either via PM or via posting in this thread. Not sure what kind of frags I am doing yet, most likely a SPS frag or a zoa frag...a nice one though. The next thing we need to figure out is how to send these. I can either send each one individually at a shipping cost of $35 each, or I can send a single package to someone and have it distributed. What do you guys want to do?
  15. Is this still for sale. I have a fiend over here in Utah that was ready to drive over and pick up Garrett's, but it was sold. If you have this for sale, he will probably want to drive over next weekend.
  16. I say we do an SPS of some sort. It would be fun. I think that some kind of milli would be good. I think that the winner should be determined by polyp count, just like the current competition. Good luck counting all the polyps on a milli, lol. Honestly though, we should just use a similar method to how they score antlers on an elk or deer. Total inches. That means the person that has 3 branches at 1" each has the same score as the person that has a single 3" branch. For this to work we need to make sure each person has a single brach, with no forks in it, otherwise they would have an advantage, and trust me, one split is a huge advantage. Oh, BTW, Im back. But my GOC piece isnt doing so hot. It was upside down in one of my acans, who knows for how long. The person watching my tank didn't notice it. No big deal. I have 5-ish heads (all babies and buds are gone) and we will see if they pull through.
  17. Leaving on a jet plane at 5am tomorrow. Here is the photo update. The polyp count is still the same. 5 full heads, 2 babies (will tiny polyps), and showing a couple buds, but no more actual polyps yet.
  18. Will you ship to me in Utah? The good 'ol days of me just stopping by are over since I moved to Salt Lake City. You have a lot of great stuff and I would like to buy a bunch. Probably wouldn't be till after the first of the year, I am leaving the country for a while.
  19. Couldn't agree more. I cant believe they have not a single Oregon player on the first team, and honestly a pretty weak showing on the second team. That being said, I am so proud of Chip Kelly right now. After a humiliating defeat in Boise and the loss of one of our best players he pulled through and made a good season out of it. I think that this just shows how much heart the players have and how much they work as one, rather than having individual stars.
  20. I will be in Egypt from December 19th to Jan 9th. Please dont DQ me during this time. I can give a new photo before I go, and as soon as I get back.
  21. I personally know the guy. His name is Andy, he knows for sure what undata is. He is just joking, 100% for sure, he is an LE guy just like me.
  22. Thanks everyone. I will hit it a few times and keep the algae off. Franklin, the algae takes a good scrub or two before it melts away. I dont think it is a form of cyano, if that is what you were thinking. I will try some more snails and I will keep scrubbing till it quits leaking phosphates.
  23. So we think its bryopsis? I thought bryopsis was green, this is brownish, and slimy, it melts away when i scrub at it.
