    Tank Pics

wow that's a lot of corals. I like the frag rack. nice pics!
  2. Oceanpure salt 200 gallon mix of Oceanpure for $49(not in a bucket). Not sure how good the salt is since I never used it but from what i've read online it's not bad. Soutas uses it in their tanks, can't be all that bad. Anyone have experience with this brand?
  3. Great looking tank and amazing pictures with the point and shoot camera. I have a Sony (H1) digital camera and I can't even get close to that nice of picture.
  4. very nice tank, great pictures. I contacted you through craigslist. Nice to see what your tank looks like.
  5. Big surprise, thought I was at the wrong site for a second. I like it!
  6. I bought (3) used 1" Sea Swirls from someone on RC and I only ended up using two of them. It works when you plug it in but it's never been on any of my tanks. Asking $125.
  7. Thanks again everyone for all the praise. it's definitely been a good amount of work to this point. It's nice to be able to start to relax and actually just look at it. Anyone who couldn't make the meeting is welcome to come over and check out the tank. I really enjoyed talking with everyone who was able to come to the meeting.
  8. Updated Pics Some more progress. Most of the trim work and cabinet doors were installed on Sunday before the meeting so that is why I never posted pics before. Cushions for the seats on either side still to be completed. Sanding and painting too. I've attached a few of the better pictures. More pics can be seen at the following link. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16991411@N05/
  9. Yeah the tank is on a concrete floor in the basement. Thanks everyone for coming and all the compliments. I had a great time and plan on making future meetings.
  10. Any updates on how the anemones that went under the knife are doing? pics?
  11. I bought a reeflo orca skimmer about 2 months ago for my 400 gallon tank and i read a lot of reviews on the MSX and other skimmers. All the reviews i read said the MSX skimmers were a lot of skimmer for your money. I actually considered buying (2) MSX300 for my 400 because two were less than the reeflo orca 250 but then i would have had to clean two skimmers and 4 pumps. too much work, plugs and it would have been really tight in my sump. (laugh)
  12. Tank is not available. Sump also comes with a overflow.
  13. Tank, stand and sump 50 gallon Oceanic was paid for but the person never came back to pick up the tank. I've contacted the person who bought it and let him know i was going to sell it again if he doesn't come get it. He didn't respond so it's up for sale again. The sump is also available price drop to $75, obo.
  14. always interested in different color zoas. Any pictures of what you have?
  15. For Sale or For Trade. Go to the following link for more pictures and if you see something i don't have listed just let me know and we can work something out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16991411@N05/ Star Polyp $5 to $15 (depending on size of rock) Pagoda Frags $5 Green Bubble Tip Anenome $15 RBTA $30 (3 available)
  16. Custom frag tank. Dimensions are 55" long x 29" wide x 10" deep. I glued in some partitions and cut teeth in the partitions to make separate sections for refugium, skimmer and return pump. Worked well but because of the large surface area it did evaporate a lot of water. It took up more space than the current 58 gallon frag tank i setup to replace it. I'm interested in trades of corals or $50.
  17. I don't know about everyone else but I check craigslist for saltwater stuff a couple times a week. This looks like this could be a good deal depending on the condition of everything. Only problem i see is it looks like a narrow tank so not much space to stack rock. I would consider buying it as an upgrade to my frag tank if my wife wouldn't kill me. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/hsh/924683561.html
  18. I haven't been very good at keeping up with posts and updates. The tank is doing well. I added a Melanurus wrasse about a month ago and some coral frags. I also added three Sunburst anthias at the same as the wrasse but only one made it and it's doing great. It's eating like a pig but still very shy. I added 3 different color millipora frags, two different colors of zoos and a hammer. I got the skimmer setup about a month ago and that things is a great skimmer. I'm really happy with it's performance so far. Just this past week i setup the calcium reactor. Finish carpentry isn't complete around the tank but hopefully next sunday it will be mostly complete. That's the plan anyways.
  19. frag tank I actually took that tank down and replaced it with a 58 gallon oceanic with built in overflow that i found on craigslist. The frag tank was nice but it evaporated so much water because it was so much surface area and it was difficult to cover. It was about 4' long x 2.5' wide x 10" tall so it took up more space than the new tank.
  20. Trades I'll be at the meeting and it will be my first time to a pnwmas function. Looking forward to meeting some members and i'm trying to get more involved. I have some corals to trade. Go to the following link for more pictures than what is shown below. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16991411@N05/ Sorry for such a late post. Didn't realize the meeting was at Dennis's house this month. Green, red and brown star polyp. Green bubble tip anemone Button Polyps (large green and brown with green centers) Red and green monti frags Assorted color of zoos plus if you see anything in the following pictures i don't have listed i'm open to fragging almost anything except for the smaller pieces of corals.
  21. Not yet? I read that before i got the fish but was willing to take the chance since they are so beautiful. I have been watching how it acts around my 2 cleaner shrimp and blood shrimp, so far so good. All 3 of those shrimp are going on 2 years old so they are pretty big. I have 4 peppermint shrimp and have seen a couple of them lately. I hope the fish doesn't turn on them. One thing i found interesting about the fish is how it eats algae from a clip with the Tangs. It loves the stuff and everything else i feed.
  22. Melanurus Wrasse - if you have the space. I would recommend a Melanurus wrasse if you have the space. The Sixline i have is much more aggressive than the Melanurus and it's only 2". The Melanurus is about 4" and much more colorful. I do not have flatworms in my tank but I have heard both fish are supposed to eat them.
  23. Amazing pictures with a $130 camera. Great looking tank, it looks much larger than a 40.
  24. Very nice setup. Glad to see the 125 went to good use.
