I'm looking to pick up a few single polyp ricordia frags in $10-15 range locally if at all possible. Just need to get a few going to offset all the zoanthids in my nano cube. I also have some zoanthid frags for trade, I dont have a decent camera or I would take some pics but if your local I have no problem bagging them up and bringing them by. Just came home and noticed millions of small white dots drifting through my tank. So I took a couple minutes and looked around my tank. I found a couple of the larger stomatella's in my tank had made their way up towards the return outlet from my filter and one was ejecting small bursts of eggs while the one next to it was ejecting small bursts of sperm. Didn't know if anyone else had seem them doing this or not. I tried to get a video of it with my phone but it sucked. Regardless, my Sebae anemone really seemed happy (clap)

Yay.(sad) Whats the best thing to use to dip them in?

Found the problem. It was a nudibranch. Caught the little bugger eating the last little bit of them yesterday morning(flame) Needless to say he died.

Looking to pick up an extra hood to do my 70 mh retrofit into so I dont have to tear apart my currently working hood. Dont care what lights it has in it. Just hit me up with a PM. thanks:D

Put in high flow the other day, they seem to have stopped decaying at this point. I've been giving them and iodine bath every other day and they are improving a little. I did however notice that at night both my sexy shrimp are right on top of them picking away. Thinking back, they did start to close up around the time I got them in there. I dont have any anemones in the tank yet, could it be that the sexy shrimp are just harrassing these particular zoas for lack of an anemone??

completely closed up. Looks like some of the green diatom algae thats growing on the sides of the tank is growing on them. Other than that I cant see anything else on them.

I have 8 different colonys of zoanthids and 1 colony is shriveling up and receeding. Nothing is stinging it, all water parameters are fine. I've heard people mention zoa-pox? Is that a possibility? I'm not really familiar with it. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the info everyone, my dad ended up having a spare 500 watt Halogen fixture with the perfect sized piece in it. ( He's an electrician so he has random crap like that laying all over the place:D ) Anyone got a spare Maxijet 1200 or 900 laying around now???

I need to find some temepered glass for a splash guard on a retro fit I am doing. Is there anywhere in the PDX area that anyone would recomend to either get some or have the piece I have cut to size?

+1 The pair I got from you the other day are doing awesome!! They just hang out around all the zoas. I will be in sometime this coming week to grab me some of those bumble bee shrimp also. You got any of the glass anemone shrimp down there Austin? Oh yeah, u catch my goby yet? LOL Lemme know when u get some more in. Any chance u can get any of these guys in? Forgot to ask this in the original post, does any one know a good place to get some 60mm computer fans? Preferably the "scroll" type, the ones that are a similar design to how a leaf blowers motor would work. I checked Frys and Norvac already and they both didnt have anything that was the right size. I'm looking to replace the stock fans in my Nano cube with something that pushes more air for the the halide.

Thats awesome!!! I did a 60 gallon coldwater marine a while back with a home made chiller from a flip top freezer and a crap ton of vinyl tubing that had aluminum coil molded into the vinyl. It was super sweet. I made the refugium out of a 12 gallon eclipse tank and literally took a big square out of winchester bay on the sand flats where the sea grass was and planted it in the fuge. It worked great until my roomate moved out and I got poor and had to move in with my g/f.(flame) I told myself that I would have another one someday, and you my friend have inspired me(clap) I think I'm gonna do a mirror system of the 12g Nano I just setup, but with coldwater species.

Does anyone know much about the Japanese Peppermint shrimps? I seen a couple at Waves, and I think Upscales had some too. Kinda cool looking, anyone got any info on them? I was also looking at getting some bumble bee shrimp if I can find them locally. Anyone know who has em?

Any locals out there that happen to have a little to much chaeto in their refugium? Or if u have any nice looking zoanthids or ricordeas for sale, and live in or around Beaverton post it up. thanks in advance
