  1. Alright will do. Just hate paying $6+/lb for rubble from a LFS. (Not saying thats his price, just assuming.)
  2. Need probably 10# of established rubble for my refugium. No aptasia, bubble algea, so on. Let me know. Happy to get small amounts from multipul people. Better diversity that way anyhow.
  3. Firstly, I HATE RC cars... BUT I may have some info for you all. I race DH mountainbikes, dirt jump, ride skate parks and such. I dug trails at Meldrum Bar park, in Gladstone, for years. We always used to get into fightes with the RC car guys because they would tear up our jumps by standing/walking on the lips, plus the exhaust from those things is terrible to breath. ANYWAY, the city of Gladstone sanctioned an area at Meldrum specifically for RC cars, and they have a huge public, free to use, out door track there. It's right on the river. If you pull into Meldrum and head down to the boat launch, it's impossible to miss.
  4. [language filter], and I was all excited to put up pics of the new system I JUST finished. =(
  5. My router table has lines every 1". I just used that as a guide and moved my fence each time. I would do it diferently if I had to do a lot, but it worked. Took me two tries to get it right.
  6. There is a huge post under the "Equipment and Lighting" area of RC. I would take the time to check it out.
  7. I believe your talking about PortPlastics. =D
  8. They are 13"x13"x13", and made out of 3/8. So for 5 pieces of 3/8" 13x13 is about $85 if you order it precut through tap. (It's sold by the square foot, so its the same price pre cut, or in just a big sheet.) Obviously, you can go with thinner material if you use a top brace. I just chose not to. The expensive part though, is just the initial tools needed.
  9. Just made some sumps. First real try at acrylic work. Pretty happy. Survived the 24 hour pressure test, and the seams look good. Plus I have enough 3/8" material to make several more projects!
  10. Is it in fact dimmable or no?
  11. I'm pretty excited about this. Been considering doing a DIY LED fixture for my new 24"x14" tank. Two of these would be perfect.
  12. What are the dimensions of the fixture, if you dont mind. Definetly on board to see how this goes. LED's for under $100. [language filter].
  13. I recently purchased some seed rock that I am going to be using in sump. it has some toadstool leather looking things, but they have long wavy tenticles. Also a small amount of pulsing xenia, and some green looking palys. They are on the rock, not on easily removable frag plugs or anything. If your willing to come over and properly remove them without too much damage to the rock, there all yours. Let me know. Sorry I dont have pics.
  14. All things are OBO. If you have any interest, let me know. I really want rid of this stuff!

  16. Saw the thing yesterday, and I was like... Wow that thing is HUGE! Good luck on finding it a home Jay.
  17. Kinda been reading up a bit. Looks [language filter] near as easy to build a glass aquarium. There are all kinds of DIY guides, and it looks simple enough. I need to check out local prices. Any suggestions in either direction?
  18. Considering building a 24"x14"x14" rimless acrylic tank. It would have a internal overflow. I believe James used to have a great walkthrough on tank construction somewhere. I'm sure there is others out there. (I used to have many saved on my old computer, but it died.) So if anyone could possibly provide me some links, that would be amazing. Also, for that size rimless tank, would 3/8" acrylic be suitable to stop bowing? Thanks in advance.
  19. Yeah, thanks for the reminder. I'd just like to get a mix from several sources.
  20. Looking for several things to start my new 20g including... Some nice pieces of quality live rock. (~20lbs.) Nothing with colonies on it, because I will be cycling the tank. Looking for stuff with lots of biodiversity(pods, brittle stars, bristle worms, excetera. The more diversity the better!) Also, I'd be interested in a few good sized pieces of dry rock. Something nice and pourous. Scoops of live sand from well established tanks to seed mine! Hand full of macroalgea from your established sump!!!! Again, the more critters the better. #20 or so of fine/semi fine sand. Salt. Hit me up.
  21. Alright. At the bottom of your original post it just said you might be able to bring it up here. Thanks anyway though!
  22. If your really going to be in Portland tomorrow, (or somewhere close) I'd be interested... What are the dimensions exactly? (Gonna PM you with my phone #)
