This guy has a 275 gallon plastic bin with metal cage around it. Looks like can lift with pallet jack too for $175; maybe he'll bargain. (has others too). I'm needing something to store my water in to drain for a darned damsel I can't catch. Although, my wallet has it's own chastity belt now, my wife made me promise no more fish stuff for 3 months since she got me a nice new zoom lens for Xmas (clap) (sad) http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/for/520663382.html

I had mine go through my Koralia last night. I can't say how many pieces he's in, but I only found a couple chunks left, about 1 inch with the largest piece. I'll let you know how many pieces make it.

Don't know what to tell you there, but I wouldn't chance it. About a year or so ago, a gymnasium had a cracked MH bulb and I know a few teachers and parents got sick/burnt or something of the like. Of course their lights are more powerful, but yet again, your eyes and arms are much closer to the tank. I'd Google it some more to find more educated info on it. Think of it also as UV from the sun can cause skin cancer, but we didn't study aquarium lighting in nursing school

I would call your local glass shop. Hopefully it wasn't customized by the previous owner. Here's an article that will make you not look at your bulbs directly. http://archpedi.ama-assn.org/cgi/reprint/158/4/372.pdf

If you're using DE bulbs, you need to have the UV shielded glass to protect your eyes, skin, etc. from UV rays. SE bulbs have that built in around the bulb, not not for DE.

Could use a little superglue and make snail mods mixed with matchbox cars parts. Put some scoops off the machinery in the front and shovels or grading in the back to put them to work properly. I'll try to make a moch up tomorrow

Hey, thanks for posting pictures from the party. The gentleman's name I was looking for was the guy in the below picture of yours from the other thread.

Anyone live reasonably close with salinity calibration fluid?
Ronjunior replied to Ronjunior's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Bob- I stopped by Joel's and double checked with some ro/di water yesterday. -
Personally, I think the stuff I bought from Home Depot sucked. I think out 18 frags I glued, maybe 2 are still there. The tiniest little bump just knocked stuff right off. You got to smoosh it pretty good to stick into the rock pores, but end of LPS more or less needs to be molded to help stay. Also, got to mix up good and with the right proportions or it stays like wet playdough. I'm sticking with superglue.

How's the color? Still nice and hot pink? Updated pic please, inquiring minds want to know.

Hey, can't find any salinity calibration fluid at LFS that's not a week out in ordering. Nor do I have ro/di. If someone is fairly close that could spare a few drops of salinity calibration fluid, I would much appreciate it. I got a new refractometer and it reads at SG 1.001 with tap water and reads .0001 higher than my year old hydrometer...don't know which to trust and need accuracy with doing hypo in my hospital tank. Thanks in advance. 503-558-8738 home number and here most hours. Would love to stop by tonight. I'm in the Clackamas area, but willing to travel, Salem is a bit too far

I wouldn't give up on the skimmer yet, sometimes they can take a week or two to kick in. Mine also stopped working for about 5 days after putting in new return lines then kicked back in.

Not you Nyles, I know who you are . I think he was the guy who ended up getting coffee after getting his coffee stolen. I thought his username started with an s.

Party was great; kudos to Chief/Spayne/Curtis for re-gifting what they were afraid to win . I do think the potluck food was better last year than Chuck Wagon. Who was is it that I bought the frag of zoos from that were purple? You weren't sure which frags were which. I think you gave me what you traded the lady for, green? Send me a PM, I can't remember your login. Me ponytail, and I think you have one too with a big cooler.

You might drop Izzypop an e-mail, I remember he was looking for one like that last year and there was some place in Boring or Sandy? Also, I know reefhut had one in his garage, but bigger. He may know of a good local place as well.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Damascus)= Toy & Food Drive
Ronjunior replied to Ronjunior's topic in Out of Bounds
Brandy & Bob, thanks for adding to the load for KGW's toy drive. We collected over 70 toys, 2 mountain bikes and I'm guessing a few hundred pounds of food. Will be dropping off tomorrow. Here is my favorite picture of the night I thought I'd share. -
Try looking up "food grade" on Craigslist. I saw some a few weeks ago for $5, don't see them now, but hopefully folks would be honest on what's been in them. There are a few others for cheap. Home Depot has a trash can that a few people use.

Now there's an idea. My wife wanted me to start a business delivering lunches to folks at her school and others, kind of like a preordered chuck wagon. I passed at the idea. As for shipping, I'd have to start making tamales too, but I think they'd take longer than the enchiladas. Next time I go to Bend I'll be sure to cook some up for ya. I love riding motorcycles in Bend/Redmond's ice cold, it clears my sinuses and when I crash, I'm too cold to feel the pain

Those blasted triggers. My niger did the same to a new chromis within an hour of it's arrival. Lost half of his back and bottom fins, caught his eye, causing little air bubbles. He drifted nose up for days, went to throw him out and he started flapping. Stunned, I put him back and kept putting food towards him during feedings. After about 1-2 weeks, you couldn't tell anything happened to the guy. I was impressed.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Damascus)= Toy & Food Drive
Ronjunior replied to Ronjunior's topic in Out of Bounds
Brandy- No they don't, the agencies that get the toys wrap them so they know what to give out to the kiddies. Hey, I was going to e-mail you tomorrow because I was planning on bringing you and Bob a surprise. Hint, bring your small cooler if you've got one. If anyone decides to come out, I was a Griswold Scrooge this year and didn't put up our lights....needed a break this year and have been catching flack from the neighbors. -
