  1. im having a hard time figuring you if you are really ripping people off or this is all a joke? if so why is it here?
  2. have you never heard of melev? http://www.melevsreef.com/aefw.html heres his info email him if you have any other questons also got alot of info on that method on reefcentral under the sps thread, also i wanted to also tell you someone did try the fluke tabs and got bad results wiped out about 98% of his corals, so wouldnt recommend it. ok well lug's is a very harsh iodine its ment to cauterize your wound for easier cleaning also does speed the healing process with beta iodine it does the same job just not as harsh so it will do its job but also be a more gentle process for out sensitive corals.
  3. they are different its was melev used on his and also lots of others, so the results are very good.
  4. ive had lots of good luck with beta iodine its used for first aid peels them right off
  5. yes jay at coral reef has them on hand dont know about advance
  6. ya thats what i was thinking i cant do a recirc model but il still get a rs 250 or the h&s so which one do you think i should get if i cant buy the recirc model of euroreef? i was also looking at the trigger systems one also its about the same price
  7. no no i said if i can get a skimmer that starts out at a much high lph and if i choose to mod it it increases not that much more, but will beat any other skimmer before and after modding, why should i spend the money for this.
  8. ok but the problme ive had with octopus is that i have to mod them to make them anywhere near what the other companies are have achived for example the rps 1000 out of the box i got 200-300 lph now with the mesh mod i was able to double that to around 500 lph now a euroreef 250 out of the box gets 1200 lph mod that and get up to 1500-1700 lph why waste my money???
  9. ok help me decide on what i should get for my new 120 thats going to be stocked full of sps and fish so heavy bioload any skimmers less then $800 so no deltec sorry. please everyone vote thank you.

  12. ya no problem i just have to wait on taxes it would cost me 60 buck to have it ach'd in to my acct so im waiting on a check, but ill give you a pm the day its here
  13. well im just thinking that 9000 gph aroun din a 120 is going to be alot but i also thought that 1800 was alot for a 40 so it should work just kind worried about that much flow owell just money right lol
  14. its 3600 gph but with the head its more like 3000 gph the over flows in the middle
  15. well im going to do a close loop no matter what ive had them for years and love them so i know theirs a dart going to be in the setup so i guess the real question is should i have a ocean motion thats going to the 4 out puts from the dart and also have 2 6000 or 2 6100's or do sea swirls instead of the ocean motion and no tunze's or maybe just one.
  16. ok ive got a 120 that 48 long by 24 wide and 24 deep i was wanting some ideas on what flow you think would be the best, first i was going to go with 2 sea swirls with 4 out puts on the back also drivin by a dart. then i thought of using that same setup but with 1 seaswirl and the 4 out puts and spray bar in the back of the rock with a ocean motion for the wave maker. then i thought of that same setup but without the ocean motion and putting 2 6000 tunzes on a multi controller in the rocks with the 2 sea swirls and the 4 outputs and the spray bar. now right now on my main display i have about 1800gph in that from a close loop and a return now i have no problem with that on my 40 so thats why im thinking so big but i did want some help in deciding. thanks in advance
  17. i would recommend the aluminium phosphate remover it will remove it at a much quicker pass and also last much longer. but yes as other said phosphates will not affect you clean up crew it will just feed them lol.
  18. you can put your water change water in that bucket to keep the sand live other then that it normally can stay alone with no heater or water movement up to 6-8 months no problem
  19. normally you can put around 600-800 gph through a 1 to 11/2 inch pipe normally you want to do very low like 2-3 times your display as this is optimal for reducng micro bubbles theirs also a great calculator on reef central heres the link http://www.reefcentral.com/calc/drain.php if you have any other questions just ask :-)
  20. if you give me sometime to finish my taxes in a week or so ill get my refund ill gladly buy it then
