  2. I wasn't pointing the finger at anyone. Joel knows I love him and his tanks have alway's been pest free for me.I can't say they came from Josh either as i had his frags for 5-6 weeks at least before I saw any damage.I had 2 previous small frags that I have had about a year so maybe they have been in there the whole time, and they just were never noticed. Thing's happen in small closed system's . I remember a article about a couple of month's ago at a big 50,000 Gallon aquaruim that got ich and they were the most extensive people about Quaratine that I know . Everything got Quaratined and they still got it. I'll deal with it and happily buy again from Waves and Josh,. Jon
  3. The only thing that has went in that tank in the last 3 month's is some frag's from a guy in Eugene and a couple from waves. They do seem to be the hardest thing to get rid of just because they lay egg's so quickly. Some report's say within 7 day's of being hatched they start incubating a new batch off egg's. I tried flatworm exit ( saultas said he has had good sucsess with it) we will see how it work's.
  4. I try to make it up 24 hours in advance. However I have had to emergency batch some at times, to no ill affect's.
  5. I moved out alot of stuff on one side so he wouldn't "touch anything". Haven't got the new tank yet but I'm going to list my tank for sale in a couple day's and move everything to the frag tank.
  6. On the forum's here they usually bring between $35 and $50 . Mine is about 8 inches across. Usually the smaller one's tend to have more bubbles and the bigger they get the more it just look's like a tenticle.
  7. I have about 6 encrusting Monti's , and few digi's in there. I pulled all the live rock and zoa frags out of the tank. The only thing's left are a couple acro's and some birdnest and a few thing's that will die if I put them in my display. They did go for the encrustings first and on one digi. I have some cap frags but haven't seen any on those. I picked about 5 off the first day I noticed them and found one more tonight on a false superman. I have been searching all corals 3 times a day for the bugger's, hopefully I can remove all of them. I bought some encrusting monti's from wave's a month ago or so ( they weren't doing very good) and just this week the really started to get color back then this happens and they start getting eaten. ANYONE HAVE PICS OFF THE EGG"S
  8. Look's great, Nice garden.
  9. Will the Lugal's solution work as well . Every place is closed today that has tmpcc. I have seen at two site's that they used Lugals.
  10. I only have about 6-7 monti frags in that tank so I don't see what qurantine will do for me. Do they lay there eggs on monti's or ?, If they lay there eggs on monti's, since I don't have any colony's i'm worried about in there it is really a QT .Can someone give me a idea what the eggs look like. I found 4 last night and 1 this morning and picked them off.Look's like dips don't work all that good but I am going to try it anyway sure can't hurt . Thanks for all the help. I guess I probably shoud read that whole article. It look's like they do lay there egg's everywere. I can pull all the rock and most of the non-monti frags from that tank and put them in my Display tank. Hopefully I can starve them to death.
  11. Possibly a monti eating nudibranch. Any one have any success with dipps or other treatments. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?articleid=3354
  12. I came home from the meeting today and was looking in my frag tank and noticed one of my digi Frags was looking like it was being eaten . I found one of these on the eaten part of the coral then looking around noticed I had more of them on other sps. What are they and how to kill them or am I way off and it's something else doing the damage. In the secound pic you can see two a smaller one on the left. Jon
  13. I want to thank Vanz (sean) for selling me this great looking BTA. I was pleasantly suprised when my B/W occ clown decided in the first 24 hours that this was going to be his new home.

    Clam Question

Had him about 5 week's . Middle-bottom of tank. Crocea. He was attached to a rock when I bought him but he was not attached very well. I bumped him and he came loose from the rock. he has been loose about 5 day's and hasn't re-attached. I'm having a hard time finding a place were he will stay put.

    Clam Question

Maybe Nyles or another clam expert can help me . My clam came loose from the rock he was attached to. He was just barely attached to the rock since I got him.Is there Anyway to help him reattach. Jon
  16. Just think about how much it will cost to by new lifestock and rock if the tank splits a seam again. GET A NEW TANK ( or nice used) Jon
  17. I agree with steve that having it by a fairly clean ocean is a huge advantage but I am sure that the OCA budget is pretty small compared to most P. Aquaruims . Monteray bay has alot of the same exhibits as Oca but there is just a differance of scale and Quality. I can only see dark tanks of grayish brown sharks and ray's once to enjoy it , after that it is just dull.Maybe Steave you should become "Special adviser to colorful cold water exhibit" at OCA. My first suggestion is that you turn those big tanks into something that can handle lot's of light, life and diveristy so we can sit for hour's and find many amazing creature's. Jon
  18. No disrespect to OCA, but she said that every exhibit was just steps ahead of OCA. Not as good as the Montery Bay Aquarium but still very nice.
  19. Some of there frag tanks and other tanks
  20. My wife and son took a trip to the windy city. While they were there they took in a few of the sites. Here is a few pic's of the aquarium. They aren't the best quality but it's something to look at. Jon
  21. try Coastal farm supply in the Oregon City shopping center they have a pretty good selection of hoses.
  22. I saw the surfer this afternoon. I thought it was alot better than the first one. Also saw Oceans 13 I recommend it, not as good as 11 but alot better than 12.
  23. I wash mine with a load of towels and I use soap, I just make sure that there is no fabric softner in the soap. I do liker the bigger socks just because the are easier to clean and turn inside out.
