  1. if only this was posted one month earlier.... or maybe we can work out a trade....Pm'ed you
  2. Wow. What a tedious article to read. I could only get through the first fifty people. One "comment" had like 50 more names tacked onto it for credit. I think the conclusion of this report is that "climate" in the strict definition of the word is determined by However, some of these "scientist/whatevers" admit that humans may have a role in global warming I think this report is kinda silly - a bunch of righteous people nit-picking at words. Okay, so climate, as it applies to cyclical weather of a region, is not affected by people's actions. I think by now, the definition of climate, as used by the media, is no longer set to the dictionary but, rather, it has taken on a new definition where it includes the environment. I am surprised, too, that this report compares these 400 scientists to those who believed that the world was round. DOH! You cannot compare the two; back then, everyone believed that the world was flat, they were proved wrong and several key "discoveries" were made. Today, "everyone" believes that the planet is at a decline and we need to make it better. Omigosh, how retroactive of us. I would type more but I have to go. :p
  3. I wonder if they have that protein/oil build up on the water surface
  4. for Lost and The Office, I will sign this petition.
  5. "Out of Bounds Non Related to aquariums or hobby"
  6. I was wondering about the noise factor. Could a "sock" filter be attached to the opening work to cut down on noise? You would have to change out the filter a lot but at least you'll cut back on the debris going through your tank.
  7. I don't think it should be deleted. You can't just delete anything that is controversial - you can't just ignore that this is an issue. If moderators think that people are getting out of hand then the topic can be closed but by no means deleted.
  8. So....now the Beavers get the platypus, right? (whistle)
  9. This took a long time. I don't even know if the story makes sense. Twas the night before Christmas and all through the football game not a creature was dancing not even a macarena. The stinky shoes were hung by the sibling's bed with socks in hopes that stink funk soon would be there. The cookies were nestled all stuffed in their mouth. While visions of kangaroos danced in their hula skirts. And Mama in her old-persons flower nightgown And I in my spring-popping bed Had just settled down for a long winter's holiday stress. When out on the garage there rose such a bang. I sprang from my moldy couch to see what was the matter. Away to the carport I flew like a flash, tore open the door knob and threw up the left-over dinner. The freezer frost on the breast of the new fallen snow, gave a dim luster of the 5 o'clock commute to objects below. When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a gnome and eight tiny gnomies. With a little old oompa loompaso lively and loompaee. I knew in a moment it must be Johnny Depp!!!!!! More rapid then Jack Lalane his coursers they came and he whistled and shouted and them by name Harry Potter, Al Gore, TomKat, Brangelina, Zanessa,Wilada, Petash, Fonsi!. To the top of the White House to the top of the Lady Liberty. Now dash away dash away all!!!!! As dry as new house subdivisions before the wild hurricane fly,When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky. So up to the crown .the coursers they flew, with sleigh full of gnome clones and St. Nicholas too. And then in a twinkling,I heard on the radio the prancing and Soulja of each little Boy. As I drew in my head and was turning around, down the chimney St.Nicholas came with a tall oompa loompa. He was dressed all in black from his comb-over to his birkenstocks, and his clothes were all tarnished with dirt and cookie crumbs. A bundle of giggles-he flung on his back and he looked like a peddler just opening his pack. His eyes how they googled-up !!!! His belly how merry!!!! His cheeks were like cherry pie and his nose like a clown's!!!! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a ,and the beard on his chin was as white as where my farmer's tan ends. The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, and the smoke it encircled his head like a wig. He had a broad face and a little round belly that jiggled when he coughed like a bowl full of bananas. He was chubby and plump a right jolly old oompa loompa, and I laughed when I saw him in spite of myself. A wink of his eye and a twist of his cowlick soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread. He spoke not a word, but went straight to work, and filled all the socks by the bed--then turned with a jerk. And laying his finger aside his nose and giving a nod up the chimney he rose.He sprang to his green friendly vehicle,to his team gave a whistle, and away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!!
  10. No, thank YOU! (clap) It was nice meeting you today. I hope you and your wife had fun shopping!
  11. Have you tested to see if it holds water and everything works fine? I sent you a PM.
  12. I will follow the story of this ghettotastic office tank and perhaps it shall be the inspiration for mine own. (laugh) Didn't mean to get the thread side-tracked and I don't want to further off topic it but Nyles, I have to ask you, Nyles, have we met before, Nyles? (whistle)
  13. do you work at home? If not, how do you plan on caring for your tank while on vacation? I might be interested in having one at my office but I live 45 minutes away from work.
  14. I know exactly how you feel. Here is a site that I found really helpful in figuring out the reef-keeping lingo: http://www.nano-reef.com/glossary/?letter=All Good luck on figuring out your tank!
  15. huh...I guess it did take that long. oh well. I can't really complain for an almost free item. Now I guess I'll have to wait for my $1 refund from googlecheckout.
  16. no, i ordered it on the 12th(sad)
  17. Thank you for easing my speculation. Heaven forbid I defame a good company name.
  18. I got charged $1.00 by google.... (scratch) still a great deal if this works!
  19. sweet deal...almost too good to be true... I hope it's not a huge scam to get our credit numbers online. :( Or, I hope I don't get inundated with spam since I didn't unclick the checkbox to not receive ads (I didn't see it in time!).
  20. It may have been a re-run but I flipped over to Dirty Jobs during a House commercial and saw that the host was making "concrete reefs". It was pretty cool! I would love to make something like that for a tank - it would allow for the "perfect" landscape. Did anyone else catch the episode?
  21. Nice. Did you carve that? I don't even know if I'll carve a pumpkin this year. I am impressed by 1) your craftmanship 2)the level of which reefing has affected your life so that instead of the regular jack o' lantern face, you have created a fish on a pumpkin. (clap)
