  1. SInce this is sold, I wanted to add that I have a 4" square colony that is up for sale, if someone is in my area let me know, I have alien eye, pink, and green ones all for sale. pic of it from 2007
  2. If you guys do this I want to see one of you or even a couple of you do a horizontal mount for comparison.
  3. Its standard electronic soleniod and is running off my AC Jr controller. Once this is sold AC Jr will be up for sale. So I guess you can ask about that if you want both. Just a note, I would prefer people to pick up, so they can see it running on my system, but your choice. Someone has already asked to buy in Portland if I head that way and deliver, however I was just there Monday and don't have plans to head north again for a month or two. Please pick up, if you can't then I will drive up when I get time and I will sell to the person that PM'ed me first.

  6. I second this deal, these guys really take care of you if you have issues to, last shipment I got UPS did a number on it and some where destroyed, literally repackaged in boxes and taped sitting at my door with pools of salt on the patio. Called and they shipped out new sealed buckets. Impur let me know before you order I may add a bucket, I still have a few from last time.
  7. nitrate spike, ammonia spike from something dieing?
  8. Remote sandbed (15 gallon), 7-8 large pieces of LR, skimmer, phosban reactor, heaters, top off switch, return, temp probe, effluent shot glass w/ probe for cal reactor. Mine is pretty crowded.
  9. Wish I knew you where going to buy one, There on sale down here.
  10. As for the CC if your going to remove it I personally removed ALL of mine by siphon and went bare bottom with remote sand, if your going to replace I would siphone 1/3, wait a week, siphon 1/3 and replace the other 1/3 with sugar and do the same the next couple weeks later. Keep an eye on your system as to not cause a cycle. If you have lots of live rock you should have no problem.
  11. Someone actually carries water out there? I would not do it any way but this way, a cheap rio goes a long way in my book.
  12. However I have serpent stars since they are much more entertaining at feeding time.
  13. I like the marbled sea stars (fromia sp.)
  14. Now we need a motorcycle thread.
  15. MH bulbs 7 months but could easily go 10, T-5 18 months.
  16. I have about 10 of these in the front yard, kids catch them and put them back all the time, only rule I have is they don't kill them and they put them back where they found them.

    SPS and T5 lights

I had some on my 155 for a couple years. No issues with the lights and any SPS.
  18. I have always just used contractor grade scres for those, there more than plenty strong. Like Sully said don't over think it, you could hold a car up with a 2x4 and most the weight will be on the corners. Just make sure its level and your floor is level, also a pice of foam is a nice idea but I never do it because when you take the tanks off there always flat anyhow.
  19. I can do that, let me know. Also will be selling a lot of SPS soon, let me know if there is anything your looking for, Im selling all my SPS when I get around to it.
  20. I always make sure my temp probe is in the same body of water as the heaters as not to overheat the water if the pump failed, I also turn the heaters to 81 so that if the probe would fall out the heaters wont go nuts. My chiller is set on the CHILLER UNIT for 80 and on my ac jr its probably around 81 to kick on, I have 3 fans that kick on at 80.5 and they do almost all the cooling work, the chiller is just added protection, it usually only comes on if the outside temp is over 95 for long periods of time.
  21. I think its a great idea. Sunlight can promote algae (so they say), just keep your phosphates in check. I have natural sunlight in my display every morning, little more algae on the glass but nothing a scrapper cant fix.
  22. I was going to offer you to use my 3000 watt inverter but figured you would not want to ship back. That royally sucks man, sorry to hear.... should have stopped and bought a camp stove and pan and heated the water.... Sorry man.
