i just stumbled across a few people who did it on RC to help with pH. with the added benefit, in theory, in increasingly plant growth.

after a bit of looking around, some of the names that seem to have the stamp of reliability are the: msx 250 octopus extreme bubble king mini 180 and there seems to be growing interest in the i tech skimmers, but i think thats only because theyre a reasonably priced cone skimmer....

does anyone here have their calcium reactor effluent pour into their refugiums? if so any noticeable difference between refugium and just having it empty into your sump?

im particularly critical of the cone skimmers. are people genuinely getting results with the design or is it just a passing fad?

the names ive been hearing tossed around on RC are still the octopus extreme and msx? dont both of those come with mesh for modding their impellers?

thank you all very much for the ideas. i thought i was onto something with a rent a wreck dealer outside of the phoenix airport, but then my girlfriend found an enterprise that offered the same if not better pricing. its absolutely stunning to me that a airport enterprise will charge 370 dollars for a weeks use of a car, but another one literally four miles away will only charge 130 a week. oh how they depend on ignorant consumers.

im looking for a new protein skimmer. i havent researched skimmers in quite a long time and want to pull from my local pool of personal experience. my system is roughly 125 gallons. i have a heavy bioload with large anemones and hungry fish. currently im running a recirc modded ASMG4. i feel like i can do better. lets say my budget is $500. pick me a skimmer that is essentially plug and play. ideally i dont want to have to get a skimmer and mod it, or fiddle with the impeller so that it burns the pump out every year. suggestions? experiences?

i have since upgraded to the Aquacontroller III....and am now far more satisfied. the ac jr was great, but what it came down to was how much i had invested in my livestock only to have some minor problem kill everything off while i was away. i no longer have that dread of a vacation or being at work and not knowing what my tank is going through. i can see my water parameters from any computer in the world, and better yet, get a text message any time theres an emergency. get one.

thanks john, ill look into that. unfortunately, even when they say 300, there are still an additional hundred dollars in fees and taxes you dont see until you click on the car you want. i was all thrilled because i found a slew of cars around 220 bucks. only to click on them and find they were actually 380. just stupid.

this may sound like a particularly bizarre request, but does anyone have any ideas on renting a car in phoenix, arizona during the week of march 23rd through 30th? all the business rentals are changing astronomical amounts, plane ticket prices. does anyone here have a spare car down there i could pay them for? any ideas on how to get discounts, coupons, etc? anything will be appreciated, thank you!

my dvr did not record as was promised so i had to itune and watch last night. what a great episode! smoke monster! finally! i was so thrilled when his arm fell off. finally, the monster returned to its roots of brutal indiscriminate bodily harm. i loved the feeling of hearing that little noise skirt around in the jungle...and then boom. loves it. i was very pleased. i enjoyed watching the danielle story line, but am now very intrigued as to what happened to her friends when they came back out of the hole. i almost thought that when jin stumbled across the two dead people, they were the others that eko had killed and that jin had come across their camp the night after. i cant tell if im getting annoyed at christians continued presence yet. i mean, it was cool when you saw him walking around the jungle in tennis shoes and a business suit. and it was sort of neat when claire saw him. but now that hes dressed as an other and seems to have something to do with all of this is....confusing. i cant imagine a reason why he would have anything to do with that island, so i hope there is a good explanation. desmond is 108? did i miss something? yenna, are you suggesting that the island is constantly moving through time? even before ben turned the wheel? danielle certainly didnt seem to notice when jin was under obvious stress during the switch... ok, more smoke monster and more jacob. please.
