We are still looking into the extent of the attack, but I think it was simple and childish. The homepage was changed to a jpeg of line drawn porn. Nothing too graphic. And the forums directory was deleted. Other than that, it did not look touched. All passwords were changed. After the inquiry from our Hosting Company, I will have more info. andy Posted August 6, 2008 Share Posted August 6, 2008 Vbulletin (our forum software) encrypts passwords with MD5 twice, once salted and then a second time. MD5 isn't perfect, but it's more than sufficient for hobbyist passwords. It's not a bad idea to change your password periodically, but this hacking job doesn't drive the immediate need for one.
