  1. Fungia can be fragged... I haven't posted here in a long time, but a couple of years ago I had a thread where I fragged a fungia. I used a dremmel with a diamond wheel to cut it into 9 pieces like a tic-tac-toe board. or a #hashtag. They each grew a new mouth, and quickly started to round out as they grew. I had a couple of them left when I finally broke my tank down. It looks like I can't find my old thread on here, but I also started a thread about it on NR.com http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/198351-fragging-a-fungia/ cheers! dsoz
  2. It will be here if you ever have the time to come get it. I don't have a tank right now and am trying to empty out my old "fish room" of all the accumulated stuff from the hobby. If anyone else wants the tank, it DID have copper in it before because it was a QT tank. You can email me at d3sosnovske (at) gmail (dot) com
  3. Ya, I stick my head in here every now and then. I just had a huge test on Friday, and another one today. I don't feel like studying tonight. Ha ha. You are the president now? Wow, that is great.
  4. I think it is a 29g. 30" x 18" x 12.5". Does $10 sound acceptable? I live in Oregon City. dsoz
  5. I got one. Let me get a photo dsoz
  6. I don't think that Disney is "Public" If anything, it is the pinnacle of capitalism. But they do know how to entertain. dsoz
  7. I am trying to sell a 75g tank/stand/hood for $100. I am in Oregon City, so it would be easy to come get. dsoz
  8. If you are in O.C. Let me know. I have a 75g tank that you can use to temporarily house your stuff. Just come over and get it. I am near the hospital and the old high school. Send me a PM and I'll give you my number. Right now the tank is almost completely dry (it does need to be hosed out to clean it). You would just need to help me carry it upstairs from my basement. I can do it myself, but it is a lot more work. Or, you can buy the tank/stand/hood for $100. dsoz
  9. It will be totally weird because I don't have a tank up and running anymore. Just an old sump with some rock that is still circulating in saltwater with a powerhead (MJ1200)... I am going through a life change... I am going to quit teaching and go back to school. I am starting to downgrade my expenses, and I started with the tank. :( It is gone... gone... gone... dsoz
  10. I have an old 1200. It is running in my LR bucket right now. You can have the whole thing for $10. You come to Oregon City to get it. I am not doing anything tomorrow up until late afternoon (busy all evening), and after 1:00 on Sunday. I actually have two of them. Both for $15. That way you have a spare. PM me. dsoz
  11. Maroons do that to BTAs. It is OK most of the time. If it really gets bad then you may want to separate the two (eggcrate divider sometimes works). If the Maroon was that bad for the BTA, then they would not be together in the natural range of both species. The maroon would have killed off all the BTAs in the area (Or the BTA would fight back and eat the fool clowns!). dsoz
  12. Bad joke at the end... Tiger shark.... Ha ha. dsoz
  13. Someone must have picked it up. It was deleted by author. dsoz
  14. No problem. I did have someone send me a PM about all the man-made concrete rock, but they have not gotten back to me. I do need to get rid of the rock fairly soon. I just disconnected the skimmer from the tank full of "real" rock, so there is only one powerhead moving water around the tank. The sooner it gets back into a running tank the better it will be. Call me soon. dsoz
  15. I have a coralife super skimmer that works fine for $50. It is the larger model. dsoz
  16. I had a lot of success. If you want some crushed coral and dry sand for the mold, I have several buckets of it that you can get... cheap. I also have a couple of bags of the rock salt that I want to unload. name your price... Seriously, I am going to be moving next summer. If I don't get rid of all this stuff I have to take it to the dump. Give me a fair price and it is yours. It beats buying it for full price at home depot. If you want to bring some portland cement over to my place, I can show you how I made the rock, and give you some personal tips. dsoz
  17. I have a bunch of it. It is all ready to put in a tank. It can take 6 months to a year to cure and not be caustic for your tank. I am selling it for $0.50/lb. I have over 300 lbs ready to go. I have had it in my main display, and in my "anemone farm" tank. Send me a PM if you want to get some from me. dsoz
  18. I used to have great LPS growth with T-5 TEK light. I had a 6x54w over a 75g tank. My frogspawn loved it. There was a point where half of my tank was frogspawn, close to 300 heads all put together... If I didn't become allergic to the stings I probably would have a tank full of it by now. Zoas also grew fine, and I had monti caps and monti digi growing like weeds. I couldn't seem to get Acros to grow or keep their color however. Maybe I needed to do more water changes more often... dsoz
  19. Bump. Only one tank and a bunch of rock left.
  20. I also have the magnesium part of the two/three part. I am leaving the hobby, so the chemicals are useless to me. If you can make them work for you, then let me know. dsoz
  21. Kalk is good for maintaining calcium. Not as good for increasing calcium. I have some Kalk that I got at a LFS before it went out of business. I could sell it to you for a few bucks. It would be enough to hold you over until WallyWorld gets it in stock. You just need to come to Oregon City to get it. Send me a PM if you are interested. dsoz
