503Reefer
In a continued struggle to determine why I have an unhappy torch, I noticed some strange things on the side of the base. When open, I can see gill shaped things inside. Shading it from the light causes it to instantly close like a feather duster would (see video below), then slowly open again. Anybody know what these might be? IMG_1824.MOV

503Reefer
Well, in any event..I decided that no matter what they are, I’m sure they aren’t helping the coral. I pulled it out and removed three of them by puncturing their “shell” with a knife and scraping them off. Whatever they were, there was a substantial chunk of guts in each of them. With the receding flesh and the old exposed skeleton. But i can’t find any pests. It’s been trying to split and then i had a ALK dip while on vacation. Would that be the cause of it being sad?
