fpd4308
So I have been thinking about the Apex and now I am deciding if the Apex is worth the 300.00 over the EL. Are they both WiFi out of the box or does the EL require an additional module for WiFi? I know the answer is somewhat dependant on what you want so I know that I definitely want: WiFiTemp controlAbility to control my algea scrubber lighting In the future:Might do a dosing pumpControllable gyre pumpsTrident Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Deuce00
I know one difference between the Apex and the Apex EL. The El doesn’t come with the ORP probe. Dustin
Lazyreefer
This is something I’ve been pondering over too and if with the EL you can still add all the same add on’s and stuff to it? Edited May 12, 2019 by Lazyreefer
SuncrestReef
The Apex-EL is essentially the same as the Apex 2016, except it's missing these 3 features: Salinity probe ORP probe 0-10v variable outlet You can add these missing features in the future by purchasing 3 add-on modules (PM1, PM2, VDM, plus the probes), but the overall cost will end up $129 higher than if you just purchase the Apex 2016 up front, and will take up more space for the 3 modules. Here's a chart showing the exact features for each product: Edited May 13, 2019 by SuncrestReef
