Feeding Anemones

I have a couple of anemones that don't come out all the way.  I'm curious whether direct feeding them might make them happier?

I don't ever feed mine directly. I imagine they get some spill offf when I feed my fish but good lighting is more important.

 

What type of anemone do you have?

I feed mine every few days with the reef frenzy...and then some cut up frozen shrimp about once every week or two. They seem to really enjoy it.

There needs to be a Every so often.

I feed mine maybe once a month directly other then that just put frozen foods in tank.

I give my small one a chunk of krill usually once a week.

I didn't feed my mini maxi carpet last month and it ate a whole 3" abelone.  Caught it spitting the shell back out.  I try to make a point of giving it a krill here and there.

i give both mine small chunks of silver sides soaked in reef frenzy.and they get whats floats into them when feeding the rest of the tank.

I try to feed mine at least twice a month. Same mixture i feed my fish (Sally's San Francisco bay brand) Mysis,brine thawed and liquid/moisture removed and replaced with Selcon and garlic.

 

I have 10 rainbow bubble tips in a basket thats in a tied in frag tray so they don't have access to much food unless i provide it.

Their photo period is much more important as far as i know.

I feed my anemones a good saltwater sinking pellet, probably one of the best ways to get total nutrition to corals.
