TheClark
Relatively speaking... I ran across these guys when searching for ways to test well water. http://www.karlabs.com/watertestkit/ I did the 'kit90' and for 59.95 learned allot about the water that comes out of our tap. Turns out it is pretty good for humans, not so great for reef tanks. Thank goodness for RODI! Please note: Don't send tank water, they only do drinking water analysis. Next up for me is the RODI output from this water, should be interesting. Below are my results for those who can understand them (me not so much!).

Higher Thinking
I'll definitely be interested to see how these results stack up against your RODI test results. Good info man!
Robyna_baby
Whoah... if all of that was in your well water I would hate to see what's in my city water! ????
TheClark
Whoah... if all of that was in your well water I would hate to see what's in my city water! For only 59.99 you too can find out!
fishboys
When are sending in your filtered stuff? Oh and how long did it take you to get your first results back? Edited November 8, 2016 by fishboys
Bevo5
I'll split a PDX test if some of you want to try it. I'm in NE Portland so whoever is close?
TheClark
When are sending in your filtered stuff? Oh and how long did it take you to get your first results back? Hey fishboys Maybe tonight if I can get my todo list caught up! The results take just a couple of days after they get the water, less than a week for sure. milesmiles902
I wonder if those less than <0.1 mg/L etc. are the detection limits of the instrument. The RODI will be interesting.
TheClark
Yes, all the < mean below detection limits according to the FAQ that comes with the results. In reality there was little detected compared to what was tested. I took some RODI water samples tonight, will mail tomorrow!
TheClark
RODI results, amazing! Everything was removed at least to detectable levels. This new report format explains each test as well right in the report, nice upgrade!
badxgillen
Hot Dang! I think I am sending one of those out once the heavy rains come over here, thats usually when the TDS rise some.
TheClark
Interesting PH was so low out of the RODI at 5.7, although I heard it is hard to take the PH of RODI water for some reason....?
