featherblue
Ive had this acan the longest, and its finally putting off a new polyp:-) any ideas what species of acan it is? Its very different (polyp shape, extension) from my other acan, which are a. Lordhowensis.
reefnjunkie
If I'm correct-Echinata acan-doesn't play well with other acans-and most corals for that matter
TheClark
There are so many pretty echinatas, but they often nuke what they are next to. it is a shame but just give it some room. I can vouch personally for what junkie told you they have a hell-acious sting... That said I am not 100% sure it is an echinata how big is the big polyp diameter? reefnjunkie
Likes more like a acan maxima to me. Ahhhhh, yes the ol maxima DOH! Colors and texture had me thinking echinata- I'm still unsure Maybe google both species and see what it looks closest to
featherblue
I think Jeff called it, looks more like the maxima when compared to google results. Its definitely a vicious coral. Got pushed into one of my favia a few months ago. Didnt go well for the favia.
Sasquatch
looks like a maxima.. but true acan maximas don't shoot off babies I think... Is that right?
