  1. Today is drilling day. This is gonna be a forever tank for me. Hoping for 20+ years. That means it needs to be modular. No corals will ever grow on the rock itself so I can move them around as needed. The whole structure is modular but frag plugs and frag disks will be modular as well

I would prefer the item sitting next to it personally 🙂.  May not be that useful to run your tanks though...

Are you referring to my 1989 miata? That won’t power anything. Not even a 100w heater

  3. Was feeding LRS to my tank as usual. I just throw big chunks of it. Walk to the freezer to put the rest back. Turn around and I see my yellow tang sideways at the bottom of the tank. He was fine 5 seconds ago. He’s not breathing well and not moving. I reach into the tank and when I grab it - a puff of LRS chunks squirts out of his mouth. He’s moving now but looks dazed and barely swimming. At least he’s upright...10 seconds later he’s back to normal

so who else has had to perform fish Heimlich maneuver before?

  4. I have a Yamaha 2000 and used it last weekend. But I realized how painful it is to hook up heaters, pumps to two different tanks. And I still didn’t have any power in the rest of the house. It was getting cold too and the heaters had trouble keeping up

so I just ordered a champion 7000 inverter generator from Home Depot. This should run the whole house. I just made a suicide cord for the dryer plug. Don’t judge me :)

switch panels don’t run the whole house, only the circuits you decided to hook up to it

Alrighty.  Full tank shot here!  Some of you have some awesome looking tanks, but I think mine should win just based off the rare concept alone.

i recently (Monday) decided to go for a tank theme I’ve never seen before.  This is my attempt to represent the ocean at the bottom of the mariannas trench.  Near freezing temperatures and no light.   Creates a beautiful barren oceanscape.

thanks to Jeff at cuttlefish for housing all of my normal tank inhabitants!

I think we have a winner here!
