I have a 2000w Yamaha inverter/generator already (for motorcycle racing) but decided to order this yesterday. This should power the whole house for days if needed.

Yes you can do most of that with a $20 suicide cord with the added bonus of a nice burst of adrenaline when you first plug it in 

meanwhile people can do the same thing with a $500 genny and a $20 suicide cord

Power outage last year killed my eb8. Had to buy a new one
