Yeah. Minimal plumbing and sump were included in the system. I ended up cutting into the plumbing and using some metric to standard adapter unions to tie into standard schedule 80 pipe. If you leave the sump under the stand where intended all you would need is a return pump to get water flowing.

Its easy. Heavy gauge stainless steel shelf brackets in each corner top and bottom and on the center support. Realistically the stand is fine as is since Red Sea has to stand behind it but I feel a littl e better with the added support. Deflection is the enemy here as the 3/4" marine plywood that its built out of should be able to handle the weight just fine.

Jeff at Cuttlefish and corals in Portland got me a great deal on it and it was apparently a canceled pre-order so I got it a few weeks ago. I think they retail for $3099 without lights for the black stand version. Give them a call as I'm sure he would help you out on a good deal. Awesome tank though. 3/4 glass throughout. My only complaint is the stand is assembled with cam locks similar to ikea furniture so I went a bit farther to reinforce with stainless steel bracing.

I have moved big tanks several times. Most recently across country but I dried out my rock and sold all the livestock that time. Its not a tough process to move locally but it is time consuming. Here is what you need to do: Break the tank down and put all your livestock including rock into a Rubbermaid stock tank or Rubbermaid commercial trash cans. It will take a few cans to do the job. move and setup your system at the new house while your critters are hanging in the stock tank/cans with powerheads to keep the flow going. If for more than a day I would also retrofit lighting. Get a long siphon hose and a good submersible pump. I used a trailer but a pickup truck would work just fine. Put one can in the truck and pump water from your stock tank then transfer critters/rock as you drain the stock tank (not filling more than 3/4 full). Repeat until everything is in cans in the back of your truck. Get to the new place and reverse the process back into your tank that is already setup. I usually do almost all new water but be careful that the water is aged properly and all perimeters are identical before transferring back. I would also change out the sand bed so you will want to give it time to clear before doing the final transfer.

Thanks! Actually sold my original Kessil 350Ws and updated to new 360WEs for better intensity and so I could control them with the Apex. Still love the look of the Kessils over any other lights currently.

Hi, I'm new to the PNW reefing community. I have been been reefing since 2003 and had my first big tank (180 gallon) in 2004. I have mostly kept fish, LPS and soft corals in the past but am now moving toward SPS territory. Just moved here from the east coast back in July 2015 and set my prior marineland 200DD starphire tank back up in Jan 2016 after sitting dry for a few months. I basically killed off all my live rock for the move and resurrected over he past year. It was a rough process.... I got marine velvet from a local fish store on some "trade in" rock I was using to seed my dead rock and that killed most of my new fish in a matter of days at one point then left the tank fallow for 4 months while I treated the remaining fish with CP in a 160 gallon QT system! I just finished refreshing the marineland 200DD with a a new new Red Sea Reefer 750XXL build and posted to the forum. Rob

Finishing up my latest build, Red Sea Reefer 750XXL with the remote sump and lots of extras plumed to my garage. We are planning to go more stony corals this round so it was time for a fresh start. It’s been up for about a week. (My prior marineland 200DD starphire setup is available, PM if interested) Build specs: Display Red Sea Reefer 750XXL Neptune Apex controller Lighting: Kessil 360WE x 4 programmed from my apex. Using kessil mounts and extension poles fixed to the cabinet. Flow: MP60QD, MP40QD currently running a tidal swell program. Rock: about 300lbs very large pieces of kaelini rock I've had for close to 15 years. Sump/filtration: Remote configuration. Plumbed into existing red sea display plumbing with metric to standard adapting schedule 80 unions made by spears. Vectra M1 dedicated display return. Vectra L1 powering a manifold for all filtration components and additional tanks. Emperor Aquatics 80W UV sterilizer MRC ORCA pro II skimmer MRC custom skimmer waste collector (arriving next week) MRC CR818 calcium reactor (arriving next week) Skimz reactors zeovit and media both rated at 2000L. I’m not currently running Zovit and am just using the reactor to house seachem matrix media to increase biofiltration. I am running GFO in the media reactor currently. 35 Gallon frag tank 20 gallon water change/emergency QT tank (I run two 80 gallon stock tanks with a big hydor canister filter when I need a full QT system) 35Gallon RODI top off tank Aqua FX octopus 100gpd RO/DI Kessil H150 purple grow light over refugium chamber Frag tank: 35 Gallon acrylic tank that is likely to be replaced with a 36 * 24 * 12 frag tank in the near future. I've got a great condition 48*36 Marineland 200DD sapphire tank, stand, top and closed loop for sale.

Hi,I'm breaking down my Marineland Starphire 200 Gallon DD tank and going with a new red sea reefer 750XXL. I will be selling the tank (including sump, closed loop plumbing and stand/top). I was running the sump from my garage but you could easily run this in an under cabinet configuration without chagrining the existing closed loop plumbing config (will need to do minor pluming to connect your own pumps and return line to sump). The Tank:great condition Marineland 200 Gallon deep dimensions starphire tank (48x36x27), Custom stand is 2x4 framed with removable cabinet for easy access to plumbing. Top is solid wood with aluminum bracing. Oceans Motions 4-way wave maker and closed loop plumbing (Echotech L1 is not included core plumbing is). All bulkheads/unions are schedule 80 pvc and plumbing is schedule 40 pvc. Also included is a 20 x 20 x 15" 3/8 thick acrylic sump.
