Sounds like the bad apple is leaving the bunch. 
I for one have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone I have met on here. The worst experience I have had was from facebook where a guy would not leave me alone trying to get me to send 100s of pics of GSP and drive it to Salem for him for free. Funny enough, he also owned a car business and was super pushy. I have given and received coutless frags for free or super cheap. This group has saved my tank a few times and helped me with all kinds of things as well as allowed me to branch in to higher end stuff. Lowball offers is part of selling stuff. Hell, I saw a person try to haggle at safeway on steaks one time. 

Not everyplace is for everyone and this place certainly does not sound like a good fit for you. Good luck selling in your ebay/amazon store and with your cars. 

Shoot, I paid almost that much just for replacement filters for that system a few months ago.

Thank you! I thought I had tried that. Turns out its case sensitive and I did not use the proper case! Now if only I can figure out how it duplicated my my EB and shows 3 missing modules. 

I am trying to program my apex classic to send me a notification when my ATO reservoir is low. I have a float switch in there and connected to a breakout box. When I try to add 
IF ATO_RES = OPEN Then ON 

 I get an error saying I can only use TEMP, ORP, etc. and ATO_RES. I know ATO_RES is a switch I am using as the programming for the ATO is working correctly finally.  Anyone have any ideas? Maybe our resident guru?  @SuncrestReef

I would toss it. I know I have left some in tank water thawing over night and it was NASTY. You can get a new pack for the price of 2 beers.

I would love too but I will be in the Puget Sound doing my open water dive certifications that weekend.

Did you have any recent power fluctuations? Shortly after I got my apex classic and set it up, I had power to my house drop for like half a second. It was not long enough for my router to die, but turned off my tv and the apex seemed to stay on, but the EB8 was gone and I had the same symptoms as you as well as the same outcome. Its been fine since though that's only been a few months. 

He had a couple millies last week in the tank next to the door to the parking lot. There was a very pretty pink one about a baseball size. I did not ask a name or anything as I dont have room for it. Though, if anyone gets it, I might be down for a referral frag.

I run reverse with a bit of overlap. I overlap in the morning for a few hours to help with PH swings. Fuge kicks on about 30-45 minutes before blues are off and run for 1-2 hours after whites are on the next day. 

I am not surprised. Rats just destroy everything. I like to think that all living things have a place but I cant really see a benefit for rats. 

Hi all, I picked up a used Red Sea max nano. The 18 inch cube one  but it did not come with a stand. I don't want to spend $350 on a stand from Red Sea or waterbox. Unfortunately I am having trouble finding one for a 18x18 foot print.

They are pretty simple. You need an 8 pin mini din cable, and the switches or connectors you want to use as well as some solder and a box. 
The connector pin out is below.

6 7 8
3 4 5 
 1 2 

These were the wire colors for each pin number
1 Pink
2 Red
3 Orange
4 Yellow
5 Green
6 Blue
7 Purple
8 Black

Pin 8 is the ground and should be run to one side of each connector/switch you are using. 

Connect wires 1-6 to the other sides of the /connectors/switches with wire 7 not being used. Once you have everything wired and in a housing, just plugin the connector to your apex. It should see the new connectors. 

I have one, he has moved a couple of times over the years but has been pretty stationary the last 2 or so. I think he found a spot he like though its on the back corner so I hardly see him unless I go a round the tank. No issues or care requirements that I can tell. He seems pretty hardy and has survived a few fluctuations that killed all my SPS so hardier than those. My clowns never have shown any interest though they have 7+ rainbow nems they live in.

I tried to throw them on Thiniverse but it was not working. I have attached the STLs for the one shown as well as a wider version that I printed first before I realized I could slim it down. Let me know if you need to source files.

@Emerald525I have very little experience with cad programs and most of it was on small simple things for 3d printing. I used Sketchup a decade ago to mock up some wood working I was doing. I would probably check that out for the fish room. It has a large build area and tons of options. I remember it being really easy too.
