There are definitely a lot of self-directed eye rolls in this hobby. 

Your best bet would be to Cruise over to the wet spot and pick up some bristlenose. They usually have decent size albinos. IMO they’re the best algae eaters. Fancies never do much to the algae I’ve found. Royals are awesome though.

Yikes - good catch. Sometimes I catch things I've done and just have a 'wow, i'm an idiot' moment. So many of the issues are self-inflicted wounds in this hobby. Like turning everything back on after a water change. I have to go through each switch on the apex and make sure it's done like 10 times. Super OCD.

Sounds like y'all should give it a shot and report the findings!

That was fun - I don't have a tank ready for the corals yet, but it was fun to watch.

I don't have a full understanding of what exactly it is - but it's some sort of byproduct of the salt and builds up over time. It's harmless and common and should chip off pretty easily.

I got probably 10-12 pounds I just used to cycle a qt but I gotta take out so let me know if you still need some. It hasn’t seen any meds or anything. 

As someone who works most weekends..... this hits close. 

I’m not even sure how you’d set it all up. I guess you could do it manually though the display but that will be really tough.
