Gotcha - thank you. Bit too far for me, but good luck with the sale!

I'd be interested in the bubble and the mushroom - where are you located?
-
Caught another one climbing over some zoas. Easiest catch yet.
Got three left for sale.

Haha. I was inspired by all the other posts and wanted to try to get some off because they’re taking over my tank. I started with one and now there’s easily 25-30. I don’t know why these split so much but it’s exponential once it’s starts. For the most part they bubble up and seem happy. I’ve only had one that decided to rest on top of some zoas. A week of blasting it with a power head solved that issue.

I was practicing my anemone removing skills and got three of these guys off my rocks. They're in a jar under pretty white light, but are more pink than what they're showing. The other photo is of the master colony under the blues of my DT. That whole rock becomes a bubble garden as soon as the moon lights come on. Probably 20ish on there...
I'm in NE portland - thinking $25/each. I got three of 'em...

I have about 25 of various sizes all throughout the tank. If I can get one off I'll hit you up. It started as one about 18 months ago. They wont stop splitting.

If you're just running normal plugs do you have to ground it? I just run an extension chord into the fish room and plug in a power strip.
-
here's a question for y'all - I got a little tailgate generator that only pumps out about 800w. It's enough to run a heater and a return pump, but I'm thinking about upgrading to one of the larger units. Do those have to be grounded or can you just wheel 'em out and fire it up? I remember reading on one a while back that it needed to be grounded, and I have no clue how to do that.

They definitely make a difference.
I have a large one on my tank and I was dealing with endless dinos that just wouldn't go away. I finally just turned the UV off about three weeks ago and the dinos are gone (knock on wood). I'm guessing other things are growing more now and sucking up the nutrients, but I have a huge clean up crew so hopefully it'll be a nice balance.
So that proved to me UV's are good at what they do - but I was dealing with Amphidinium dinos and the UV apparently doesn't really work as well with them.

I hope this community can fight our garbage tendencies and just give them the amount they're asking for.

I wish I could get 70% off this post.
I’ve been here over six years and I’ve never once had an issue with anybody buying or selling. Maybe it’s just bad luck that OP met so many bad apples, but I’ve never met one.
Now, I also deal with a lot of folks around the country for baseball cards, and I can verify THAT community is pretty lackluster!!

Awesome. I’m going to give it a shot!

Hey all - open to offers here. I'm not 100% on the price so if someone needs a big UV let me know!
-
I'll probably regret this when the dinos come back, but for now they're gone and I need to move some equipment. So first up - an AquaUV 57watt plus VarioS2 pump.
Bulb needs to be replaced, and that will run you about $65.
I just pulled it offline and it needs to be cleaned - but it comes with all of the connections to plumb it.
$425 for the total package. OBO
I also have a few reactors I'll be throwing on later once I get some photos.

Hey all - thank you. Items are sold.

Wow - that's a great deal.

Recent threads on these juniors reminded me that I have one sitting in a box.
I'm really not sure on prices for this stuff so feel free to tell me if it's off.
Apex Junior W/Temp Probe - No Display - $75: Had it for last 5+ years and just took it down a few months ago.
EB4 - $75
PM1 No Probe - $50
Let me know.
-
No reasonable offer turned down!

If you end up still looking then lmk. I’ve also got one with a pm1. Just hanging out.

Proper way to Qt?

Also - don’t forget you need to qt everything wet that goes into your tank. It’s a pain but if you’re going through the trouble of qt’ing the fish then you definitely don’t want to blow it on some tainted rock.
I set up a coral qt and everything does 45 days in there. That’s Less than some people, but that’s about as long as I can be patient. Every coral or rock or snail goes in there. The good news you don’t have to restart the clock with each addition.
Buy the Hanna copper test and it makes fish qt a ton easier. No rock or sand in the qt because it soaks up copper. And remember to never use the same equipment across tanks. I marked buckets and a siphon and nets for qt use only. Hell, they say to keep the qt at least 10ft away if you want to be real real safe
