  1. That's really too bad... might have to try and work some kind of deal with them. I had a local startup company do the work and it looks to have turned out real well, going to pick things up tomorrow! Yeah stoked to get some water in it! That Blue Digi frag pull through!?
  2. Is fully plumbed and currently running too So definitely ready for water if your looking for a quick and straitforward setup Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  3. I have a 29 standard, with a 20g sump and furniture grade stand, drilled and in good shape. Willing to let it go for a good price. Might have some relevant equipment too if interested pm me Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  4. Trying to get in on this but missed the sign up period, maybe BRS can let me in? Worth trying, otherwise I live north of Seattle if anyone up this way signed up!
  5. Starting a new 55g shallow build. Going with rimless 26x26x18 tank that I picked up from a guy in Canada who planned to use for his filtration. Taking the tank to have the overflow designed and then the plumbing installed this week. Shoutout to Matt down in Portland for the sump too, 24x24,16. 0227161017 by Kyle Barber, More pictures to come.
  6. Also, given your stock plans of not being so highly sps. I would recommend saving a little on the light and pushing for other areas with high end equipment. I am doing LED/T5 on my current build and think its kind of the best of both worlds. You can get the dimming effect, and the color/growth for much less cost. Also the LEDs make up the blue spectrum, and you can supplement with t5. my 2 cents.
  7. I'm looking at doing the same led/t5 on my new cube. What t5 colors do you find best for supplementing the led? Probably ati bulbs yeah? Sorry for hijacking! I also agree with exodus, the more light the better, can always raise it! Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  8. Hit a high of 87 today and watched my tank rise 3 degrees. Set this puppy up in September so wasn't quite sure how the summer would treat it. I can only imagine what a 100+ degree day will do. Its only a 30g, but will be upgrading to a 60g soon so looking for 1/10 HP probably. Any tips on brands would also be helpful as I am hunting craigslist.
  9. What pumps and powerheads, might be interested in those Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  10. Also, shout out to Jorge, Rolekii, and Beer503 for the corals, sadly I am struggling to keep my little sps collection alive.
  11. Update: Picked up some sps frags over the last month, most seem to be growing nicely but did lose 3 when my cheato died and went asexual, and ended up w/ cyano. Currently dosing erthromyacin through my ATO, seems to be going away. Have been losing sps to RTN randomly, one after another really getting frustrating. So far have lost Pink lemonade, mirage milli, tequila sunrise milli, red planet, watermelon milli, red dragon, grape juice, raspberry lemonade, twilight dragon. Coming to the conclusion that having sps in my starter tank is running into problems, so I am going to rebuild from the ground up with a better footprint, better and more consistent flow, and am considering adding a calcium reactor as I think I am getting swings in my alk. Although my tank is stable at 78 degrees, 1.025 salinity, 410-440 calc everytime I check, and my alk never moves between 8-9? Magnesium also seems stable, as I dont dose mag but get it through my consistent 5g per week water changes. Also consistently dose amino's and reef energy, but seem to be losing the battle with the sps. All other corals are fat and happy and growing. New build thread to come this week. 55g cube
  12. Awesome footprint, stoked to see it grow out!
  13. 10% off, must have 10+ people, and it's done through their site as to ensure the products are sent to you directly. This way everyone can order on their own. Once started you have a week to make your order. BRS allows this to occur once per 30 days. Just looked it up! [emoji1] Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  14. About to make some purchases for a new build, going to need some rock, pumps, retrofit t5 kits, ECT. About a month, but going to get a few things. Needless to say, I'm following... Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  15. Currently running 2 RW4 pumps and will stick with these if I can't find a decent price on mp10s I would like the added options and look of the mp10 but won't pay 200/pump for it Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  16. Vortech* not correct ???? Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  17. Why the tunze as compared to the correct? I always like the low profile look of the correct but have never had one. Just heard good things Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  18. I will give that a whirl too, thanks! Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  19. As the title says, looking for 2 MP10's must have QD and preferably wireless but if not that is okay. Interested in older and new generation models, just want them to be the same. Lmk what you got!
  20. Curious how you got enough pod growth in a 10g to support a Mandarin? Tank looks amazing Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  21. Probably going to be about 3ft head height, with 3-4 kinks. I wanted to,move 1000gph because it will be heavily stocked sps, and I was considering using my return for flow in the display. I would settle for 750gph, but to do that I think I need about a 12-1300 pump to be safe. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  22. My new build is going to be a T5/LED DIY. I think the blues from the LED and the shimmer make the best moonlight, and supplement T5 lights well. Going with a Evergrow2040 w/ 2 24" T5 ATI bulbs on each side. I personally can't justify the cost of a Powermodule, plus the bulbs each year. Although I do think the ATI is the best SPS light around hands down.
  23. Bump for help, looks like I may just have to make a build thread! Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  24. I see... Yeah it would be sps dominant, and I am a fan of aquamaxx as I have their co1 cone on my 29g current setup and it rocks. Know of any mid size reactors? The large setups are so pricey Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
