  1. What is the brand of the 100 pound sack of your favorite sand and who sales it?
  2. Where are you located and can I get some pictures of the coral?
  3. It is a shallow sand bed. I probably will add a few more new members to my cleanup crew.
  4. Thanks all for answering. I get some more snails. I was just afraid if i get too more snails or crabs that they may starve.
  5. So, I need help keeping my sand bed clean. The sand bed gets cleaned once or twice a week but that is not enough. The fish and the few corals that i have appear happy. I am not sure if i just don't have enough members in my cleanup crew or not the right kind of cleaners. I have a 40 g breeder With refugium. Right now for my clean up crew, I have 3 or four hermit crabs, 2 cerith snails, and 2 astraea snails. Looking for some suggestions for good sand cleaners.

    Nicest fish

Ok for some reason i was thinking you had a 120. Never mind the china wrasse. But there are still some great looking wrasses you can get that are not seen too often.

    Nicest fish

What about a marine betta. I didn't think I have seen one in person before. I cannot not have one because they will eat little fish and I want pipefish. Other than that, they appear to be peaceful. You may want to get a China wrasse. I cannot get one because my tank is too small, they need at less 120g. I saw one at moloko. I hear it is somewhat difficult to get them to recognize prepare food at first. I think both of these fishs are beauty and unique.
  8. Sounds like you want to sale everything at once. If you decide to part the tank out, I want to be first in line for sand and/or rock.
  9. I am culturing some pods. They are not the tigger pods but the mix pods that ocean in the box sale. You can have some of my pods, I have plenty.
  10. I think i want the rock and the sand. This would be a great opportunity for me to check out eugene. Never been there before. I need to read up on the goby to see if he/she would be ok in my tank.
  11. I would not try to bury it, it could create hydrogen sulfide pockets. If you release a sulfide pocket, it could kill your fish. Keep pulling the algea. There is are other ways to help fight unwanted algae. Turn off the lights for 3 or more days. Reduce the amount of food you are feeding you fish/ coral. Make sure you do not have a die animal. Do weekly water changes. Get some green macroalgae.
  12. I bought mines from ATK aquatics in hillsboros. I know it is a bit far for you through, if you go there, call ahead. The Mangroves are not always in stock. They are revamping their saltwater section, so they presently do not have much in stock for the saltwater lovers.
  13. I bought one yesterday. Not sure where in my future lagoon tank it will go.
  14. You definitely want to wait long enough till it is cool to the touch. If it has a protective splash guard and the splash residue is not to hard, I would just wipe it with a damp cloth.
  15. This is why I will hopefully never get a clownfish, no matter how amazing their colors can be.
  16. Jorge was selling a pair of peppermint shrimp that apparently loved aiptasia. The sale is pending right now but if it fall through, you should get on that. You can try buying some other peppermint shrimp but I hear it is a hit or miss if they will eat aiptasia. I also hear they may go after things you want in your tank.
  17. I think I want the small green monti but I needed to buy some more coral dip. If no one buys it before friday, I will.
  18. Thanks. I mind up my mind and getting an Eheim.
  19. both of them are battery powered. One of them can hold two different foods at the same time and the other one has air ventilation.
  20. Are you guys talking about the Eheim feed air automated feeder or the twin battery power automated feeder?
  21. Right now, I have a apex controller and the dry food I feed is a sinking pellet. The problem is that sometimes I have to left home earlier before the lights turn on. So, I have feeding issue and I think I want to add in one small noon feeding. I think I narrow down the choices down to the Apex AFS or the JBJ feeder. I have figured out how to program the controller to stop pumps and things for a non apex feeder. Just don't know if the convenience of the Apex feeder is worth $99 dollars. Kind of leaning towards the jbj feeder. Does anyone have any experiences with these feeders or know better feeders that can handle small pellets?
  22. I am looking at getting an automated feeder in the near future. So, I am guessing you have an automated feeder. What auto feeder are you using?
  23. Not sure what lamps I am going to use yet. It is a high possibility that they will be LED. I will have one led fixture in the middle and 2 ultiliy lights on neither side.
