    I’ve been seeing these become way more popular recently, they are sold out at cuttle fish all the time before any other snails. Any insight into why that is or I guess why you are looking for them specifically?
    Can't speak for others or why they sell out at CnC before others, I just like them bcuz they don't bulldoze corals, at least thats been my experience and that's why I like them. They also do a hellava job cleaning all my algae[emoji4]

    I'm no expert, but it looks like dinos to me. PITA for sure, if it is.
    When I had dinos, I've always noticed my nitrates to be extremely low. Then, I would add nitrates to the tank so algae would out-compete the dinos. I'd rather have algae than dinos. I've heard of people restarting their tanks bcuz of them. Again, only if they are in fact, dinos.

    Oh come on, he builds a lot of tanks for people including my self and have never had a problem with anything he has made for me. He has also built a lot of the tank for a lot of the local store. Now I have seen other tanks come apart at the seem including glass tanks, granted sometimes his seams might not look the the best sometime with a bubble here and there but never had one come apart or any other issues.

    My custom cube was built by him, never again!
    Of course, most people know acrylic, for the most part, will not bust at the seams unlike glass. Bubbles here and there? Haha, you mean "here, there and everywhere". Oh yeah, don't give him explicit directions on how you want your tank built, it'll never happen. Maybe you don't mind asthetics, but I do and I'm sure majority of the people do, as well, especially when you fork out a grand to have a tank built. I could go on and on....
    I could name 2 local shops off the top of my head that had tanks built by Ruben, were they happy? Phuck NO! Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy to deal with, and I'd have no problems slammin' down some beers with him, but not to build me a custom tank, again. Sorry.
    I know you had tanks made by him, and I even remember you selling his tanks, too, on the forum. That's fine, ain't nothing wrong with that, if you like his quality of work, but honestly, most people don't. Not here to bash you, just here to give people a heads up about his quality of work regarding custom tank building.

    Meeting photos update:
    After cleaning up from the BBQ and putting away the lawn games, I couldn't find one of the yellow plastic rings from the lawn dart set.  I assumed it must have ended up behind a shrub or maybe at the bottom of the pond, but I couldn't find it anywhere.  Today while I was out in the yard, I looked up to watch some hawks flying overhead and I noticed something in my tree.  Sure enough, it was the yellow ring from the lawn darts about 25 feet above the ground!  With the help of a tall ladder and the pole from my volleyball net, I was able to get it down. 🤣

    No, it wasn't me, but now that you mentioned it, I was out on your deck, I believe I was speaking to Brando at the time, when I turned and noticed a little boy throwing the ring up in the air. He threw it up a few times, and I think, his third throw, the ring got caught on a branch. He turned and looked around to see if anyone saw, but I don't think anyone did, except me.

    So there you have it, the mystery is solved!

    Thanks, everyone, for all the options! I really appreciate it!

    I am purchasing a 20# bottle on Wednesday, from someone getting out of the brewing hobby. Someone mentioned, cylinders can be had for cheap, when they're getting out, and they're right, $40 for the bottle! I also made the drive to Homebrew Exchange on Interstate ave, to exchange my 5# bottle, for only $16! As opposed to $30+ at Airgas in Vancouver (ripoff). To exchange a 20 pounder at Homebrew, it's only $35, a 50 pounder is $55!

    Looking for another 20 pounder! So if you got one, hit me up, please!

    I've always used a 5lb cylinder for my calcium reactor but as of late, I've been thinking of getting a larger cylinder. What is the next step up and the most common, that is readily available for exchange? Is there a big difference in price, let's say, between a 5lb and a 20lb bottle?

     

    At the moment, I exchange my bottle approximately every 7 to 8 months. Now that my sps are steadily growing into colonies, demands will increase, hence the search for a larger bottle.

     

    Thank you for any advice...

    ISO: Ice Cap 3k controller

    I don't have an extra control box for you unfortunately but since I use a 3K I'm curious what happened.  Did it die on you?
    This specific 3k, I got from someone (free) that was breaking down his tank. The pump works perfect but the controller is stuck at 60%. My other 5 3k's work perfectly. Just looking for a used controller, so I can change the flow pattern and increase flow to 100%.
