  1. Be careful peeling a recently split BTA! You might rip the split edge open again.
  2. Ontereating ideas, grabbing the popcorn for this one...
  3. I'll hook you up with some You too Jeremy!
  4. Sas, that reminds me! Your marleys colored up better than Rastas. Better coloras and cooler patterns. Will see if I have a pic of them....
  5. More light!!! Do you have a spotlight you can point at them? As soon as they bubble the foot to start walking you can pop them off without damaging the foot. OR... you damage the foot be uase you don't wait and you get one of these best case.
  6. Powerhead works ok, sometime they just dig in though. Strong light will move it within the hour.
  7. Reminds me of a full grown red coris wrasse! Wow, well sounds like you may need a wee bit o' glue/epoxy...
  8. D120's on Ebay are an option, most can be captured at $90-100. I'm sure there is someone around here with some used ones. Used usually run $30 a piece, be sure to get dimmable ones. You should only need 2.
  9. FML... I thought I'd be safe from that [language filter] pic here :'(
  10. Per Randy Holmes Farley it is a build up of Lithium and sulfates over time. Funny because that is what the Triton tests are showing now.
  11. Lucky for us, we have Golden Basket local pickup! Being in central Oregon with no lfs it kinda sucks. The closest store is TPA in Salem 2-1/2 hours away.
  12. Here's a pic of some of my Utter Chaos and Java Chaos frags. Utter Chaos grow slow. I'd put them in the same slow growing boat as bloodshots, jupiters, and any other Caribbean zoas for that matter. There are better looking zoas that utter chaos anyway. Unless you like looking at a single polyp plug for months on end. Any of the apple morphs, BBEB, wowzers, java chaos, rockstars all have better color with proper lighting.
  13. They pick up more gold color with intense lighting. One of my favorites for sure!
  14. Randy, that's awesome! Pom Pom snail? Self fragging is nice, I'm not a big fan of cutting. They tend to run when cut, when they split natually they are less prone to get as crazy. The nem that "teleported" into my biocube overflow was cut a few days prior.
  15. Yeah, too hot isnt good either. You could mix it!
  16. Haha, at least the foot should be easy to dislodge. Funny how they pick where to settle at. I had a recently split clone that decided to roam, went to peel it off and tore off a pea sized piece of the foot. 2 weeks later there is a teeny BTA roaming around in good health. Speaking of where's Waldo, here's a pic of one I spent a long time looking for, enjoy!
  17. If you are having issues with the membranes due to temperature , wrap 50-100ft of poly around your hot water tank and insulate.
  18. Food for thought, depending on your incoming TDS, Sediment/Carbon/DI is an option. I crinched the numbers last Friday on usage based on an incoming TDS of 43ppm. A square foot of mixed bed DI resin would run about 8,500 gallons of water. Came out to 4.9 cents a gallon as I recall. Now, someone running the Dual Membrane RODI needs to cross reference to see what is more economical. For me, living in the high desert, water is expensive so cutting down on backwash (wastewater) is very important. Oh, and Buckeye Hydro is who Bulk Reef Supply gets their parts from in case anyone wanted to cut out the middle man or customize their water filtration setup.
  19. Not good timing for ordering from anywhere other than the west coast. Barrier Reef (website) and Golden Basket (ebay) are more local options.
  20. Oh yeah, forgot you have the orbit...
  21. A piece of acrylic will work temporarily.
  22. Clear screen is great! The black egg crate will dump 30-40% of your incoming light.
