  1. Wanted to show a before picture of the hood
  2. Very possible...a lot of the return line plumbing is not glued..there is a true union ball valve...a check valve and another union. And there is another siphon hole above the one you can see in the picture... I tried putting my finger over it and still had bubbles.
  3. Hey guys I leveled the 75 in my garage and did a full wet test. Everything worked fine. I just need to finish gluing plumbing and make my main standpipe drain a little taller. One problem I did find was the return was shooting a large amount of airbubbles into the display. The drain compartment is separate from the chamber holding the return. So not sure where its coming from.
  4. I got rid of mine by setting up an airline and siphoning into a bucket and suctioning as I pulled the bubbles away..some popped and and released fluids were sucked into the siphon and into my bucket to dispose of.
  5. Also forgot to ask if stainless steel clamps will rust?
  6. Yes that's the one..I always remember durso and forget the name for a straight siphon
  7. I have a jebao 9000 DC for it. I need to level tank in garage and then I can do a test run
  8. Looking closer and taking apart the 1.5...it has a reducer to 1" fitted inside the bulkhead..so its not a true 1.5".
  9. How close in height should the main and secondary be? My second is a 1" Thanks for the input guys.
  10. So the other day I had bought the other plumbing parts I needed to make my 1.5" drain into a durso...but there isn't enough room in the overflow to fit the elbow onto the tee...Are there any other durso like modifications like not using the 90 elbow and still have a quiet drain?
  11. Look for an rw-8...good power and not super spendy
  12. The original stand, tank and sump Drains and overflows I am working with. Some painting and sealing.
  13. I have been working on my new 75 build the last couple of months. Getting close to bringing it in. Will add more later
  14. It is...its doubled in size since I got it at TPA..definitely a favorite of mine....I need to start a build thread here for my 75 that is still being worked on....I should be getting it wet next month when I buy my lights.
  15. Canby ace doesnt...Fisher's pump in Canby doesn't Sherwood home depot doesnt..I ended up with a true union ball valve
  16. I wanted to add I have mine set up in a similar gyre effect..where one power head is in the back pushing up and along the back length...and the other is more in front along front length...between the circular flow and the diamond goby my rocks seem to stay very detris free.
  17. Their main reef is pretty nice...I think they should drop the bird deal and focus on aquariums.
  18. Too bad there is still so much hate for Portland aquarium because of the Oregonian hack job awhile back.
