Good news...I set up the other rw8 and it was loud for about a min... And I hooked upbthr first in my ato bucket..and its quiet now too... I guess I was too impatient.

I took it out and im going to test the other one...once the 75 is up I will give it a few days to break in and see how it goes.

I hope so, I also haven't tested the other one to see how it is.

Has anyone had experience reducing out of control gsp with a tiger cowrie? I have found some threads out there...but most are pretty old. I knew that small piece of gsp would eventually be a problem but now is growing so fast. I'm interested in experimenting with one...if we discover a good one we could share it to eat our excess gsp.

When I was trying to find a good spot for mine I knew it was bad when I could start to see the ridges of the skeleton because the water was pushing too hard on it.

I have a kryptonite green one that prefers lower placement, just off the sandbed, with med. flow. You can tell if they are happy by how inflated they get and feeder tentacles at night or when food is in the water.

I knew it was a risky fish, but its one of my favorite ones (flame angels too). Oh well

So I got my rw-8's in for the 75 build and of course I wanted to test one out on the 40b. Super powerful...but the next morning it was making a grinding sound that was rather loud, when I first ran it, it was silent. ALso when I change settings the grinding will go away but comes and goes as the speed of the propeller adjusts. Anyone else familiar with the RW series and if the noise is common?

He was saying mold on window sills...I am getting some too, At first I thought it was just because the windows are old, because my living room is like 30' x 20' so I thought humidity wouldn't be a problem. It may be time for a dehumidifier. Killer deal, all that stuff for free...how can you not scoop it up...that's calling in sick to work time.

So when I get my 75 wet..my coral beauty needs to go. It likes the taste of sour apple birdsnest. I have caught it several times. Too bad because its my favorite fish, I knew it was a risk. Hopefully it doesn't develop a taste for other SP's.

I think they go nuts sometimes and irritate nearby corals, hopefully they will end up growing too much and dying off.

Looks good, let me know how the sour apple does, mine is not doing too well and I caught the coral beauty nipping... the only Zoas I can get to grow and not die are eagle eyes, and dragon eyes.

Is it frozen from cold weather...I only say because mine is in the garage and its pretty cold, worried about my chambers freezing and cracking.

How about the IT 2080? Wondering if it would have good coverage over 48 tank.

I have my ca and alk on two of the pumps of my dp-4 but I manually dose the mag when my ca and alk are used. They are in the 1 gal mixing jugs.

Hey guys, Starting to look for LEDs for the 75 build that I am starting. The Arctic-T247 seem like a good light to start with. I was thinking of putting two on the 48" tank. Any other suggestions or other lights I should check out? I know I want something that I can program w/o the manual dials.

Where are people buying calcium chloride?...I think I want to make my own 2 part batches when my BRS stuff is used up
