  1. Don't get too down on yourself sometimes fish just die for no reason . Could have been sick before you got them . If everything checked out with your water id just go get a couple more and try again .
  2. It sounds brutal but I sliced the heads of and dropped them in the softie tank then hit the base with a torch . No algae bloom yet so I think I'm good . One rock I couldn't remove has two nems on it so I glued a frag of zoas on it . Now I'm good to go .. Hopefully get the nano set up so the nems will be out soon as well . I kick myself for wanting a mixed reef it allows for a lot to go wrong in the future . I think the sps bug has bit me !!
  3. Freakin mushrooms .... I blow torched mine lol
  4. Ya . It works its cheap and available .
  5. I thought September October was the canning season . ?
  6. Walmart in Vancouver has it at least last time I was there bust out your phone book . Or google ! Who uses a phone book anymore . Lol . That way u don't waste your time driving everywhere . I don't use kalk . But I just started randy Holmes farleys DIY two part .. Simple and cheap .
  7. I guess I should have added the tank I had was drilled for a standpipe over flow . And I plugged it because I figured if your going to drill a tank u might as well drill two holes the return was plumbed over the top . What does the stand u have allow for room ?
  8. Oh lol you are cutting it out sweet !!!!!!
  9. Hmmm that's odd the tank I have was drilled in the bottom originally I sealed it because I wanted it drilled for return and overflow . I just yanked the plastic out because it looks cheap .after that there's the black silicone that held the plastic in that was removed also .then used a straight edge and a razor blade to cut almost to the back and peeled the plastic wrap off . And it gave an extra 3 or 4 inches to play with .. Next is cutting the plastic rim off . But I just broke my dremel ! You should look up glass holes kit . Com ... They have cheap nano overflows and the kit comes with bulk heads even the bit to drill the hole for around 50 bucks . But u can also remove that bit from the kit and its cheaper if you already have it drilled .
  10. Forgot the picture today sorry .. Still have these
  11. You got it for sure . Yours is a work of art compared to the others . The one could have took a minute to clean his glass .
  12. I have never really been into mushrooms so I have no idea . There cool though . Super bright ! I have a tank that has just softies but these don't do well in it and I am trying to just keep lps sps in my tank so they gots to go .
  13. I guess as long as its healthy no need to worry .. Ya I need to because I'm not paying what there asking online .
  14. I have no idea Lol . They appear to be but I could be wrong . I can get you a better picture tomorrow .
  15. That's weird we'll I'm glad it's hanging in there . That's cool the crabs holding the fort down . Sad to report the setosa that turned out to be my favorite piece because of it bright orange color started growing good and my glue job sucked and the stupid turbo snail bulldozed it into a brain coral and it was bright white by the time I caught it . Sad day . Now I'm on the hunt for another chunk of that its awesome .
  16. I have a couple rics I'd like to trade for some sort of sps . Ones a neon green three mouth baby making machine and the other is about the size of a quarter purple base with green tips . Ill add pics with the lights on this is under moonlights .
  17. Looks like you had fun tonight !
  18. I had a seabea once or twice . The first one I got was rather bleached and after the first week it kept detaching and taking rides around the tank . Lots of asking around and reading I found out they need a good amount of light .. I returned it to the lfs and he had it under halides and it perked right back up . I know certain clowns host seabea like the seabea clown but I'm not sure if all do . The second one I had I bought it not knowing what it was because it was purple and not bleached . After the first experience I decided to trade it on here I'm not sure how that worked out or if its alive . I do know that there harder to care for than btas and not a great starter nem but can be done . I just seen some on here that we're absolutly beautiful . And I think the lady sold them for super cheap . I'd wait until they pop up on here rather than spend top dollar at the lfs . Didn't you get one derbird? Anyways good luck with it !! If it starts declining mouth gaping floating around take it to someone that will let you trade it in . Nems leave a huge glob of mess if they die in your tank
  19. Mine did the same thing . Until i got the btas .Scared me because I was reading a magazine showing a wellso eating a azure . Googled the heck out of it and found out its pretty common . For them to host wellso . odd choice huh ?There the least violent of the clowns when it comes to hosting clarkiis are pretty aggressive . If it isn't bothering the brain I wouldn't sweat it to much I'm sure they will go back to the nem when its settled .
