  1. Lol isn't that the truth! I guess easy is not the right word haha.
  2. Thank you kimberlee. I had a 90 last but an ich breakout kind of ruined it for me for a year or so. But the 40 breeder is by far my favorite size! Looks awesome and is easy to maintain
  3. Dee, if I'd like 5 of the bracelets, do I pay you, or the PayPal?
  4. No problem salty, it pulls a lot of gunk out and is easy to tune, I'd recommend it to anyone.
  5. Any input on what to do next is appreciated, it's my first actual reef tank. Taking it kind of slow.
  6. It's totally cool alterego (don't know your name sorry) we are all adults here, and I agree with you on your points you are making. Each of us have had our experience with most of the shops, some good, some bad, I just hope we all find someone or some shop, that will steer us in the right direction, treat us well, and help us enjoy this little piece of the ocean we keep in our living room!!
  7. Agreed they have incredible corals, but that's not the full description of a retail store IMO, I was HIGHLY mistreated when I bought a powderblue tang from them that had ich, kept me out of the shop for almost a year. But I gave them a second chance but I rarely buy livestock from them. Coral and water is what I stick to. But every shop will have someone who has a horror story, but for a owner to be blatantly rude to my wife and I, that in my eyes does not make up for "nice coral." but Travis has been much nicer to deal with lately and has gained my business again. That says a lot. I think he has def come back around.
  8. Haha ok if I ever sell it you have first dibs!! I asked and as soon as Austin said he had one Patrick's daughter was like "I could of sold that to David!" we're you in there today??! I got extremely lucky today, I've never seen one there, let alone a red one! Thanks for the info on the shedding too!
  9. Thanks! I got him at fanta seas, he was in the infinity tank. File fish are cool! How's woody shop looking? Been a while since I was in there. Nice to meet ya, my names Randall.
  10. Well hash I got a red one today! He's perched up on my rock, cleaner shrimp has checked him a few times. No issues yet haha!
  11. I don't think working at a store has any bearing on what was said, his response was well put. With such a hobby as the one we are in, a owner if a store should give correct advise on tank size etc, but to expect them to ask what's your tank size, how's your water, what's your live stock, to EVERY single customer is just not realistic. I've been in sales since I was 18, and when someone confidently walks in, tells me what they want, and is certain it will work for them, I will sell it to them. Now do I ask qualifying questions, yes, but some people no matter what you tell them will still buy something. It's not their job to know every customers tank info. Heck in 2 years I've had 3 different tank sizes, how can someone be expected to keep up with even me?! I've been to stores that don't ask anything, and I don't go back, Fantaseas has naturally talked me out of fish MANY times. Also told me to buy a smaller skimmer because I wouldn't need one so large. Upscales has been well at this with me also as long as I deal with Tom. I bought a fish today and was given good advice from Austin today with the purchase of my leaf fish, even told me he very well could eat my shrimp. Most stores won't do that. Moral of the story, "can't win em all." Randall
  12. Very good idea! I just hear so many people blaming pretty much every store for a purchase they made. All we have to do is ask key questions or do some research. But I agree some store may and will screw people over. I personally have never run into the issue and I always hope none of us do!
  13. People need to quit blaming fish stores on selling them a fish that won't work in the size of aquarium. We as the hobbyist should be asking the questions not them. I ask every time if the fish is fit for my size tank, and tank mates. I've never once been misguided by Patrick or Tom.
  14. The cube looks good! Can't wait to see the finished big boy! The floors are awesome btw, I want to do stained concrete bad.
  15. Dang you got them on frozen?! Skills that pay the bills haha! It took me 5 months to get my lion on frozen. Thought he never would do it. I'll take your idea and get a small one. My shrimp is fairly big, goby and coral were the biggest concern! Thanks hash! Where did you find the yellow one?? I'm wanting a red.

  17. I don't know how to get the pictures to an acceptable size for the site?? I took them all with my iPhone so I figured they would be small enough but it is still too large. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Thanks Garett, I had an extremely stubborn lion fish I had to entice him to eat every time but it never bothered me. My cleaner shrimp is about 3 to 4 inches long, the goby is only about 3 inches long.. I really appreciate the info, I'm going to toss it around and decide over a week or so. I've just about hit my limit on coral for a while so its time for a few fish.
  19. Ok cool! I think I'm going to grab one! I want the big clearish purple one I think it's a scorpion fish but 400 bucks for a fish is too rich for my blood, so the red leaf will have to work, haha
  20. I can vouch for the Duncan its an awesome deal! Thanks again for the corals!
