Thought i would start my official tank thread, since i finally got all of my rock situated, have about 130-140 lbs of rock in there now. Some pics i took today: Is that an anemone in the last pic? Good/bad?

Uploaded a poorly done video from my iphone, and wanted to point out a couple of issues/questions: -Is my "silencer" in the overflow box set up correctly? It seems like it sometimes is more quiet than it is in the video, if the sound recorded correctly. -See any overall issues with the setup? First tank, so just kind of going off common sense. -What tool can i buy at a freddys or something to help split that boulder i have in the rubbermaid tub? -Is there anything i can get to cover the skimmer top? Ok, so this is normal? Man, I really need a DI Filter system. Do i need an RO/DI one, or just DI? it sucks having to make trips to Rose City to get DI water all the time.

Was looking to get a few couples of fish. I know clown fish often pair up with eachother, and also heard goby's and pistol shrimp do? Do all Goby's mate up with pistol shrimp? What other interesting couples are there?

So the sump just needs to rotate around? And i dont think its possible to keep the skimmer straight up, might have to hang on the back of the tank.

More pics.. Added my cleanup crew. also got my levels tested.. Alk-8 Mag-11.5 Calc-560 Nitrate-10 Phosphate-05. These levels were taken before i did a 20% water change.

Thought i would post some picture updates, of the progressed brown algae. Also pics of the current setup of the sump. Can the skimmer be angled like that, does it matter?

Ok, i will probably take Shane up on his offer. I have a question about the back of the tank, is there like a preset plastic paper i can put on the back? It would be kind of hard to paint the back of the tank now that is all set up, and full of water. Any Suggestions?

Would Lowe's have what i need? Does it have to be acrylic? What if i went with just a larger all around tube?

so its probably the 1/2 inch flexible tubing that is causing this? My acrylic had a crack so i was trying this. 1" PVC all around by the way.

What could possibly be wrong? It does seem like something isn't right.

I have a valve after the pump and I have to close It almost completely to even come close to balancing with the suction side or intake.

having trouble balancing the flow to/from the tank. i think its because my sump pump (600 gph) is too strong.
