I'd really like to trade my piece of rock covered in GSP for equal weight in quality rock. It'd be all the GSP a LFS or anyone that trades alot would ever need. I'd imagine you could saw 100 Lg frags plus out of it. Just a thought. I'd just like to have more room to mount the rest of my SPS frags. If a LFS or anyone else is interested in trading just PM me.

I'm not so sure these pics do them justice. Torch (1st pic from a long time ago 2nd pic today): Frogspawn is way in the back but it a little smaller than the torch, 5 to 6 heads approx. Rock covered in GSP (at least football size): Green pocillipora colony i'd let go as well (softball size):

I have a frogspawn colony $25 obo , a torch colony $25 obo, and a bit bigger than football size piece of premium live rock surrounded in green star polyps that i'd like to trade for same weight in live rock. I really want to remove these from my tank as it's supposed to be SPS (sticks) only. Please feel free to make an offer. Will consider trades. Just need to find'em a good home. From what i've found you have to put them in thier general light zone according to "species" and WAIT ! After/if they become based, and will tolerate fragging the frags will color up even if the colony never does. I would always buy big brown acro's from OIAB's big tubs (cheap) thinking I could color'em up. I still have a LG one that now has purple tips after 1 1/2-2 years. The frags do good though,better yet the frags from frags, and so on.

I'm looking to get two true acinic and two super blue bulbs (60" 80w T-5 HO) ATI or UVL or somthing of equal quality. My question is where's the best (cheapest) place to get/order them? ANYONE ? $94.00 is the cheapest i've found (ATI) Maybe a LFS in the portland area would be able to come reasonably close to that. Where do you all get yor T-5 HO bulbs?

How is his SPS stock? All Maricultured or what? Does he get alot? does he get large nice pieces often? thanks

On the skimmer IMO I would do an external SRO Reef Octopus HY5000 they are "quieter" after breakin, you can set it right next to the tank, even get fancy and build a "cover" for it that would double as an "tall end table of sorts" with a door for access. (even quieter) and IMHO/FMOE the tank will require a larger than "rated" skimmer.I'm using an SWC 250a (Askoll pump) and it does a good no real complaints, but somthing bigger would be helpfull. Im sorry if I sound negative all the time, I surly don't mean to. I'm just trying to help with the things I found out along the way that I wish someone would of clued me in on. I truly wish you the BEST of luck.

OK the reason I asked about the sump is because i've seen different builds on RC and alot of people complain about the Marineland stand made for the tanks because thier so short. They cant fit certain things in there because of the height. Marineland said they had to do it that way because any taller and it wouldn't fit through most average home doors, which I can understand I had to build mine inside the apt. Just a heads up, check out the dimensions and then see if you'll be able to fit what you'll want/need in there. I know i've heard alot of complaining about not being able to fit properly sized skimmeres in the stands cause thier so short. But that external reefoctopuss with the hy5000 would fix that in a jiffy? haha More of somthing for Garret to consider as i'm sure he'll steer you in the right direction. Thats the beauty of this forum and others like it, I know any heads up info I could've and did get when starting a big project like this just helps things go smoother and eliminates surprises and we all learn a little somthing. Good Luck with your build I know it'll be exciting every step of the way. Kinda like what Emerald### said building and starting new tanks is really one of my most favorite parts. Looking for two Ballasts, to run two sets of 2-60" 80w T-5 bulbs. So each Ballast would have to cover 10ft of total T-5 bulb legnth and 160w total (80w each) If any one has 1 or 2 ballasts that can do the job i'm looking. Any help on what ballast requirements I need to look at total bulb legnth or total wattage please let me know so if I have to go to the electrical supply store I'll know what i'm looking for. I bought a new workhorse 5 there once for some shorter T-5's and still have it but I don't think it'll be of any use for this project. Thanks Everybody. All info welcome.

OK I got the 4 dual T-5 endcaps yesterday, verry nice thankyou verry much Wannareef. NOW for the ballasts these are gonna be 4 - 60" 80w T-5 bulbs so what do I need to run these? Between the 4 it'd be 320W all together and 240"/20ft of bulb all together. How many ballasts will I need? How exactly do you figure it out by total legnth or total wattage? If anyone has an icecap or two they'd be willing to sell i'm in the market. I'll probably run 2 off one and 2 off another. So i'm assuming 2 ballasts that can handle 10ft of total legnth and 160 total watts. Can Workhorse 7's handle that? What can? Thanks
