  1. I am lazy so I wouldent do the parts you can't see less I had the time. Or unless you think there will be water getting on there once a week or so. Spray= thiner coats, more convenient and overspray, drys faster, getto spray skills Brushing= thicker coats, brush cleanup, slower drying, little skill with a brush Both can get runs in different places spraying= cross sprying areas and stops and starts brushing= inside corners and areas where the brush is scraped clean by sharp edges. All else fails sand and do again
  2. Most stains should be upplied with as much as the wood will hold and then wiped off with in about one min. If it starts to dry on you just wet it up with more stain and rub the dry lines out. O and one coat of stain is all that is needed, unless your doing glazing or dying. Varathane is a little funner. first coat brush or spray on some what thin. After it dry's sand with about 150 or 180 sandpaper or sand pad. Next coat if brushing, go with the grain and alway move away from the stuff you just put down, as to not brush into drying coats and get whats called pulling. Sand again with about 180 to 220 sand paper then aply third coat. If it still not to your likeing lightly sand again and do another coat. Just remember that Varathane takes a wile to dry and should be left in a spot that dosent have alot of dust around to fall into it as it dry's If you have any questions PM or give a number and we can talk more. Steve
  3. I like to use Kent before I got my calcium reactor, seems to have a high calcium. Now with the reactor I might look for a cheeper one. Kent seems to be kinda spendy. I guess you get what you pay for though.
  4. I like it, and the sps's our all the way down to the bottem too.
  5. I have these zoa's in different amounts, and stuff in the frag tank are all tradable as well.
  6. What I would like to see in a book or topic on this is what corals can be next to each other or those that can't be next to other coarls. As my tank is starting to get full, I am finding that the only place left is close to others or down curent from others. I know what you guys come up with wouldent be a for sure thing, but at least I wouldent just trash a hounded dollers coral, or have a better shot anyways.
  7. To bad you don't want to live here in Vancouver. We have two house's with Masters that are up against the dinning room, then spills into the living room. Plus both houses have unfinised daylight basments under them as well. Couple things to look for when getting the house for this. Is the wall you want to take out a bearing wall? That would mean you have to put a beam up top and then carry the load down to the ground from the sides. Do you realy want to be able to see through your tank and see whats going on in the bed room, hehe, guest and future kids. Wireing and plumbing can allmost always be moved but can run up the cost. Gool luck house hunting and allways lookup who build it and try to find out more about them.
  8. Yea I would like to know how chalice's do being next to each other as well. As I will be keeping a eye out for some soon. You hear that Mr. Chalice man
  9. I am trying to find out what the typo is. 5.500.00 no way 5.000.00 no way 550.00 still no way 500.00 Hmm so close "giggle" 55.00 ok but only if you through in the extra stuff
  10. Thanks again Reefboy/Jody for the nice Job. Thought I would show you its new home. O and its starting to puff up real well and getting the tenacles out real good at night. Some one need practice reading there tape, I only figured the spot for it 4" by 3" not well over 5" by 4", hehe I will live. As I was looking it over real well I seen that he came with a Strawberry anemone. These guys ever make any problems? Thanks again and for checking up on it after the shipping to make sure things went well.

  13. I kinda like the removable skin idea. More pics.
  14. Man I would think that would just fall apart when you tryed to take it out of the water. The gravity change on that after it gets out of the water would be scary.
  15. I would say that you stock bulbs are time to go. If you want to come over and see what mine look like before you buy new ones, lets set a time close to 6 and 7:30 and we can freek my corals out and flick them back and forth.

  19. I have a Nova Extreme Pro that came with curent stock bulbs and after like 4 or 6 months corals started to look like crap. I went and got good spendy bulbs and things are still looking great and I am heading into my 11 month on them now. I think this is what I am running frount to back ATI Blue + GE 5500k Daylight ATI Blue + UVL Aquasun ATI Blue + Aquablue This list was giveing to me by another reefer saying gives good color and good light, but this is a six bulb fixture as well.

    Pom Pom Crab

Great little crab and fun to watch. I had one a few years back but only lasted a few months, but I did'nt know jack back then. But I wonder now how the anemones will do in a full reef tank being brushed around all the other stinging corals.
