so this guy is selling the 125Gal tank with alot of live rock from a reef that he took apart 7 years ago. read the ad.

so after asking him how cured and alive his "live rock was" i got this reply.

The term "LIVE ROCK" is used in the reef tank world to describe ANY imported coral reef rock. Okay smart-***, what is it called if been stored in the dark a couple months?
"CURED LIVE ROCK"
And yes it's dead, that's what you want.
(Unless you like worm parasites galore, nematodes and many other VERY BAD things to put into your $10,000 dollar coral tank. Those worms LOVE killing everything. Curing live rock is important, it's what all the pro's do... they don't take the chance by adding raw rock to their tanks.
Don't you think people who go around and "state the obvious"... sure are boring.
